IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From the 5th semester students are eligible for internship process on behalf of the college. Students can apply for internships off campus from first year. The placements start from 7th semester for btech and 9th semester for dual degree. Companies visited are Google, Microsoft, Accenture, nvidia, optiver. The average package for software profile is 24lpa, hardware is 15 lpa and other core is around 10 lpa. About 60 to 75 percent students sitting for placements get placed. I plan to do anything MS in Germany after this.

The CDC of the institute arranges on campus placement drives for the final year students. It also arranges facilities for internships. Personally I intend to go for PSUs through GATE as I don't intend to enter the hardcore corporate life. Besides I am interested in core sector.

About the placement og M.Tech in CSDP , It is very good , 90% students placed through Campus Placement with Avg CTC- 17 LPA. Rest are placed throgh off-Campus. You Can go for SDE, Data Science, Analyst, Assistant Professor types of role.

Our College placement is Very good. Our College placement cell which is called CDC ( Career Development Centre) . It develops our personality and attitude. So , if campus placement is not there , students make their career by their positive attitude and personality.

We have a total 8-semester exams and also from this year we can opt for a double major in any other course so that's a great chance to follow our passion and also we have a chance of taking a dual degree in 3rd year

It has good placement opportunities as it is one of prestiguos college in india ,Its mostly famous and many companies arrive for placements.There is also so big alumni network ,from which we can also get opportunities

The placements are quite good with a highest package of 2.68 crore and an average salary of 18 lakhs per annum. Around 80% of the people get placed with a lot of companies visiting the college. I plan to do a job for the first 2 years and afterwards I want to pursue PhD course from a renowned college in the world.

Campus placements generally start around 4th year. Around 150 companies arrive for campus placements, but few companies have restrictions, such as only allowing circuital branches. These companies specifically pay a lot. In circuital branches around 80 - 85% of students are getting placed, and non-circuital branches have a placement rate of around 65%. The highest package is generally international, going for around 2.5 crores. The average package for CSE goes for around 35 LPA, but for non-circuital branches, goes for around 15 LPA. There is also a huge opportunity to head for an MBA or Civil services here, and also many research proficiencies can be obtained. The con I would like to provide is that for non-circuital branches, core placements are really difficult considering how fewer core companies actually arrive for placements

The placements are quite good and alot of companies visit our campus every year and almost all the students gets placed either on campus or off campus every year. The median package for our department is around 16 lakhs rupees annually.

As it is the oldest IIt of our country so the placement is very good in my college, you can get a very good package here highesy package in my branch was 50 lac last year and average was 15 lac whidh is very good.
