An In-Depth insight into the M.Tech CSDP Experience at IIT Kharagpur.

The curricukam is designed to align with current industry demands. Core Courses are: DBMS, DSA, OS, COA, Graph Theory, AI& ML. Elective are: Statistics , Big Data , Cryptography. So overall curriculam is well suited to prepare you for success.

I can give information about Internship for M.Tech Students. Every M.Tech students are eligible for internship. CDC provides Campus internship opportunaty for 2-6 months depents on company to company. But number of companies are very less in On-campus. You have to apply on off-campus also. From my Batch 10/34 are get internship through CDC.

About the placement og M.Tech in CSDP , It is very good , 90% students placed through Campus Placement with Avg CTC- 17 LPA. Rest are placed throgh off-Campus. You Can go for SDE, Data Science, Analyst, Assistant Professor types of role.

Total Fees of per year is aproximate 1 Lakh including Hostel, Institute and others. Approximate Total Cost : 2.2 Lakh for the entire 2 - year course. Scholarships: Students admitted to M.Tech programs through GATE receive a stipend of 12.4 thousands per month for 22 months. Fee concessions and scholarships are available for ST/SC/PwD students as per government norms.

Campus life is very diverse , offering uniqui academics, extracurricular activities. The Social life at IIT Kharagpur is also good. Some of the popular club of IIT Kharagpur are: 1) Technology Club, 2) Cultural Clubs, 3) Sports and Fitness club. IIT kgp has top-notch infrastructure. key facilities include: Academic buildings, Hostels, Sports facilities ans many more The campus also has medical facilities, banks,shooping canters within Campus. Overall , the campus life at IIT kgp is well rounded, offering students the opportunaity to grow both personally and profesionally.

There are 21 hostels reffered as "Halls of residence". Depend on course you will get single, double or triple room. All hostels have high speed Wi-Fi connections. Regular maintenence also done. Mess food is very bad in some of Hostels. Cost for Hostel is generally affordable for students.

I choose IIT Kharagpur over other IITs because I am from Math background and want to pursue my carear in Computer Science. This course give me all opportunity. But IIT Madras , Guwahati is also good for Data Science. I am from West Bengal and IIT Kharagpur is very near to my home.

Faculty Members: The faculty members in math department are highly qualified. But very few are good for teaching. You cant expect to learn from faculty. Course Structure: In 2 years of Program , one year is completely course work based, and the another year is completly focus on your project. Most of the Courses are theoritical computer science courses. Exam System: Evaluation process typically involvs assignments, mid-term exams and end term exams.
