- Campus is a large area, for us to move around and chill duiring weekends
- Great studying exproence from highly educated profs.

- Hostels are too old and even some hostels have triple sharing.
- Foods of the hostels are less than average.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is significantly based on learning the basics of every branch so that we have knowledge about the basics. Further the branch specific courses are pretty much well aligned and more well planned. My branch is chemical and we are learning about the process and the topics required. More branch specific subject should be added. The frequency and timing are pretty well good as our exams occur at 9 to 11 am and 2 to 4pm.

- The infrastructure is top notch here. The famous white building is everyone dream to crack IIT
- The Gymkhana is very active here all the facilities required for recreation is fulfilled here
Dislikes
- The strict attendance policy in some course
- The connectivity of the city is little bad .
Course Curriculum Overview:
Our course is bit easier than other branches. The things which are taught are quite relevant and required in the industrial market. The curriculum is designed in a way to teach students basic of all types of engineering with deep knowledge of their respective branches. We do have some courses related to other .branch for our better knowledge

Our chemical engineering curriculum is hard we have 2 professors teaching at one time like in a week both professors will distribute classes. The course is difficult to understand and mostly prepares for real-world and analytical skills. The exams are conducted on time.

- the campus here is very beatiful and heart warming , you will fall in love with the greenery of the campus
- The staff workers , watchman , shopkeepers etc. are very polite and humble to the students

- Poor connectivity from the city , it is situated in the outskirts , you have to go to kolkata to catch your flights
- Kharagpur weather is not very good over the year, summer is very hot and humid , it is very sticky to live and study here.

- Location : IIT KGP is located in a very remote location which is difficult to reach from different places in Infia
- Mess food: Food provided is not of good quality and variety is also very less

Course structure for chemical engineering is very well designed.It prepares us very well for industrial market and real world applications.Coure curriculum can be improved by providing more lab classes . Frequency of exams is perfect

- Hastal mess food : like literally they are very poor than expected sometime insect also founded in mess food .
- Academic pressure : too much thing happens here at limited time and this create a lot of pressure .
Course Curriculum Overview:
IIT kharagpur curriculum offers a strong foundation in the understanding of enginnering things . like in first year we study basic subject all domail and from second year onward we study departwise subject . A part from this various interdisciplinary subject can take by student like AI, ML , Data science etc . for todays job requirements .While some of the previous subject like engineering drawing like subject they are not of so much in these computer era so other subject should focus like computer simulation rather than this .For the matter of exam I majorly agree on the timing of mid sem as question are mostly come from professor notes onwhat they teach so this not create much trouble .

Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is pretty well designed and detailed. The curriculum is interesting and interconnected and covers all the crucial topics. If the topics are studied diligently it is possible to get a good grip of the chemical Engineering in general. But the course is outdated like it has the basics but the changes along the years should be added in the curriculum. It might be because adding new things to the curriculum every year might also be confusing for the students

- The faculty were mostly easy to approach during their free time.
- The faculty professors would freely refer TAs for personal doubt clearing
Dislikes
- The administration is very sloppy and ineffective
- The clerks and peons on payroll slack off too much and are very arrogant. Helping the concerned students is the last thing on their mind
Course Curriculum Overview:
Among all the departments available for undergraduates, the department of chemical engineering is one of the least loaded acaddemically. Since placement does not differentiate in branch and CG is dependent on branch but observed in placements, an easier branch is the best option. Everyone relies on Coursera and platforms like edX for certification and industrial knowledge.

Course curriculum is relevant but not so. In First year BTech student they learn many other branch courses and other lab . Being a first year new student I don't know this thing well fully, but This premium institute make this curriculum with experience and some thought.

- The mess food is extremely poor with no proper nutrition charts. Being the best in the country we expected more from our college. Also the internet connection is not up to the mark even though it stays online for most of the time it's still problema.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum in our college along with most other engineering colleges in the country is a bit primitive in nature and outdated in terms of immediate industry relevance just after getting out of college. But they fulfill the purpose of creating a holistic student who can dive deeper into any field he wants to. We have two exams for semester 1 mid-semester and one and the semester. The mid-semester consists of 30 marks and the end-semester of 50 marks with 20 marks at the discretion of the professors for either attendance or internal matters. Most of our professors follow a slideshow-based teaching approach where they walk into the class and simply teach from slides which I think is not very effective. The curriculum prepares the student well enough in order to autodidact in any field.

Which is better, chemical at IIT Kharagpur or CS at IIT Mandi?
Choosing Chemical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur is a better option as compared to CS at IIT Mandi. IIT KGP is a much older institution with a rich legacy and a stronger alumni network. Other than that, Chemical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur has an active research culture.
On the other hand, IIT Mandi may not be the best option because of its recent establishment. Although the IIT Mandi placements seem promising, they are nowhere near IIT KGP placements.
