Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum in our Institute is fully according to National Education Policy 2020. It provides good opportunities to explore their interests regardless of their discipline. It is much relevant to the current Industrial or corporate world.
Internships Opportunities
The Internship opportunities are quite well. They are available after 4th semester. The companies of sectors like core,consultancy, finance , software come here. The stipend provided is decent which varies from 40000 to 200000 per month
Placement Experience
The placement at IIT KGP are fairly decent. Top multinational companies come here for recruitment . The students of 8th sem are eligible for placements. There were more than 1500 offers made by companies in 2023-24 batch. Heighest package was 2.68 cr and average package 20,00,000. Nearly 80 percent students were placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total yearly fees of my Institute is 3,12,000. The total tuition fees is 2,00,000 per year. The caution fees Include that of Institute,Library and Hostel sums up to 6,000 per. The registration fees,admission fees,lab fees and other compulsory charges are 40,000. The Hostel and Mess fees are 70,000 annually.
Campus Life
IIT KGP has Vibrabt campus life. It has the largest campus of 2150 acres. The annual cult fest "Spring Fest" , the Tech fest "Kshitij" held in january and the sports fest "Shaurya" are the memorable days for all. There are various clubs like Drama, Dance, music. The library here is one of the largest in Asia.
Hostel Facilities
At IIT KGP we call hostels as Hall Of Residence. A student gets his bed, cupboard and a study table in the room. The hostel mess has decent meal quality. There are also Night canteen in the hostels. There is also a stationary shop and a Juice shop
Admission
IIT KGP is one of topmost institute of our nation. The main reason for joining is the alumni base which we get here literally the largest and the best also the Vibrant Campus life and good placements are also the reason to join. The admission to IIT KGP happens through JEE Advanced scores
Faculty
There are more than 700 professors in our college.The faculty to student ration is of 1:20 which is really good. There are two particular types of exams held here, the Mid semester exam and the End semester exam semesterily. Also teachers take regular class tests as well.The difficulty of exams depend on the faculties and it varies.
