- The infrastructure, the quality education and the facilities provided to each and every student including internet speed and many more.
- A lot of cool, very helpful and great minds around in the hostel and seniors. The environment is always competitive but motivating and helping.

- The mess food disappoints in taste and some common problems which can occur everywhere.
- Some academics issues like some courses which doesn't even relate to the field are also included in the curriculum.
Fees and Financial Aid:
There is different fee for both semester in a year like the first semester has more fee compared to the second one . The first semester has fee around 1.5 lakhs and the second one has around 1.3-1.4 Lakhs . In the total fee per semester 1Lakhs is the tution fee, 5000 is the hostel charges, 25000 is the mess charges and rest they take as some maintainence charges and medical insurance. For the general category, EWS and OBC category students have to pay the complete fee whereas for the SC/ST candidates the tution fee is waived off, hence their total fee per semester comes out to be around 40K-50K. Our institute provide scholarships as well, for ex:- Merit cum Fee waiver is given to those whose family income is less than 5 lakhs , in which one-third of the tuition fee is waived off. Some other scholarships also be given on the basis of merit .

The complete cost of education is around 9 lakh rupees and if you are lucky then you get some internships and also if you have good coding skills you might get good placement and internships opportunity along with your good cgpa

total fees of a year 275000 from which per semester we have to pay 135000 and 5000 is yearly fees.from 135000 ,100000 is tutuion fees andd rest is hostel plus +mess +electricity charge. and you can get scholorship also depending upon your family income. if your family income is less the 2 lakhs then you get whole tution fees wavier. if your family income is between 2 to 5 lakhs then you get 2/3rd of the tutuion fees wavier. and their are much more scholorships for students .

One important thing that my friends told me is that the Mechanical Engineering Department at IIT BHU is one of the strictest departments in India. It makes the students question their own potential. The department professors are very strict and the coursework is extremely rigorous. The students are given assignments and projects which they have to complete within a day.
I would suggest you choose IIT Roorkee Civil as it offers the same facilities and placements as IIT BHU Mechanical. Moreover, the Civil department at IITR is not as strict as the Mechanical department at IIT BHU.
What is the recent placement stats in civil engineering in IIT BHU and IIT Roorkee ?
- During the 2023 placements,76.98% students of Civil engineering got placed from IIT BHU. The highest CTC recorded was INR 1.15 CPA.The median package was INR 15.75 LPA, and the average package was INR 19.09 LPA.
- As for IIT Roorkee, 84% civil students got placed and the highest package was recorded at INR 1.3 CPA.

Though all the options mentioned by you are equally good, I am mentioning below the highlights of B.Tech Electrical at IIT Roorkee-
- The Electrical Engineering department of IIT Roorkee offers excellent placements. Top core, finance, and consulting companies visit the department for recruitments.
During 2023, IIT Roorkee recorded the highest package of INR 1.3 CPA, and the highest international package of INR 1.06 CPA. Total 63 recruiters visited the campus with 500 job offers. Some of the top recruiters for the placement season were- BCG, Bajaj Auto, Flipkart, and Tata Steel.
During 2024, Flipkart offered a package of INR 34 LPA, and the position of Software Developer. This offer was open to B.Tech CSE, Electrical and ECE students.
