The campus placements are fine. The only thing buggy here is that international students don't get a placement offer. Else, the placements is actually good, companies like Microsoft, cognizant, Infosys, ashok Leyland, tcs, etc also recruit students from here.
After the 7th Semester we are asked to sit for interviews..there are various education and industrial sectors from which different companies comes to our college for hiring students...many well know companies each year comes to our college for hiring students..
It's a world class University in terms infrastructure, cultural diversity, opportunities and academic prowess. At that admission process is very simple they enrolled the students based on the +2 marks and their aptitude based on a simple test. They have branch offices through over India you can approach them for further details. The main reason for preferring this university is it's very economical compared to other universities and the opportunity for various projects and entrepreneurial activities way above the others. If you have a real knowledge and interest to do anything they will provide all the encouragement you need in terms of financial, guidence help
Diversity and Opportunities. My university has people from all over the country and even a few students from 13 different countries which makes it the most diverse university in India. The university helps every student out in whichever way they possibly can regarding any problem related to either academics, culture, internship related and many many more.
Firstly, the infrastructure attracted me. Then comes it's exposure, I've heard from a lot of members regarding the happenings in and around the university. And also LPU is a brand in India which attracts most of the students. After joining I realised that the atmosphere here is very supportive to the students and the faculty is good interact with. One thing that bothered me from joining in Punjab was the name it has for addiction. But our college promised us that it is a tobbaco and alcohol free zone, which after joining proved to be true. Food courts are a treat to eat, with the amount of various cuisines present
Good exposure, diversity, and a new place to explore. I thought of joining this instead of what I got through my EAMCET exam in Andhra Pradesh. I understood through my brother that the college gives a lot of opportunities to go for.
About 90% of students were placed who were registered for placement opportunities. The highest package was 19 lacs and the lowest was 4 lacs and average were 4.20 lacs per annum. Top companies were TCS, Federal, Kotak, Amazon etc. All students got an internship who were registered for it. The top role was area manager.
LPU have a good name in teaching, infrastructure and placement. So I choose LPU over other univerties.-I took admission in the B.tech (ME) in 2013. -The material and Quality of lecture given by LPU faculty is quite good. -LPU have most of IITian faculty who are specialist of the subjects. -Lab for each subject is their to do practical and this helps in understanding of theory better.-You get everything at one place so get more time to study. In infrastructure LPU is India's one of the best Uni. -From schooling I want to do engineering in mechanical so I take admission in ME.
Do you think the data is wrong ? Report Here
I completed BTech CSE from LPU back in 2016. You might say that LPU has changed since then, but I am still in touch with my juniors and here is my experience:
I am a BTech Mechanical graduate from LPU. Here is an honest review on the placement scenario at LPU (in engineering)-
The placement scenario is poor for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. Few companies visit these departments for placements, and hire a maximum of 5-10 students in total. But if someone knows basic coding, they can sit for IT placements.
Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, etc. visit the CSE/IT departments for mass hiring. Very few core companies visit the ECE department for recruitments, so the students rely on IT companies. A mere 40/50 out of 1000 ECE students get hired by an Electronics company from the campus. The IT companies mass hire students at a CTC of around 3.5 LPA.
This is the engineering placement scenario at LPU.
Being a graduate from LPU, I found the campus life quite joyful as everyone in the university is supportive. I liked the following things about the University:
