Iit ropar offers a great range of scholarship opportunities for students.
The placement opportunities are very good here even in core branches it is good
I liked the campus first of all, its so beautiful . the four pillars at the entry is the main attraction of campus

Dislikes

There are no air conditioning system in hostels leading to problems in summer
They did scam as they converted the single rooms to double rooms this is really bad as they took fesss they it is to promote bonding but this is a piece of shit
Mess food is not so good here it is not tasty

About IIT Ropar

Likes

Campus life is very good, good infrastructure
Proper hygiene maintained, very good and highly qualified teachers
Many clubs and foreign connections like taiwan etc

Dislikes

The studies are very hectic for students

because I want software engineering 1:10 FACULTY ratio faculty are highly qualified, from foreign universities and the best colleges in the world teaching method are very simple and beneficial and down-to-earth faculty term exams are very tough considering what they teach

Bittersweet Reality of IIT Ropar

Likes

Our Faculty and their perspective as we can do everyrthing
Hostel Facility and its well maintained structure
Big Campus and many building and beautyful structure

Dislikes

Very hard syllabus and sufficiently low time for preperation
Market is very far from campus and we have to book public transport for very small task

Placement Experience:

We have a very good placement cell with 100% placements in some branches and avg. salary is over 15 lacs and we got offers from 7th Sem and company like amazon google meta also visited with a good sum of salary

LIFE AT IIT ROPAR

Likes

the campus have so much open area , so we feel touch to nature not like a city.
Placement ratio and average package is very good for my collage.
All types are available for research and for exploring different things.

Dislikes

The campus is developing thats why so many lab are under construction.
Cafetria area is small and new cafeteria is not available till now.
College have two campus main and transit , so for some lab we go for transit campus.

Placement Experience:

For 5th sem. students can apply for internships through exams and interviews conducted by companies. The highest and average package offers are 70 lakhs and 18 lakhs respectively. Colleges have approx. 90 to 98 percent of students placed.

IIT Ropar, in race wth new emerging IITs

Likes

I liked their professors and labs and academic systems.
I liked the students here, since i am interacting with the best minds in india.
Also, the cultural and technical facilities are also liked by me.

Dislikes

Administration system doesn't easily release money for the fests.
there is some backwardness in technology .
We dont want to compete with older iits.

Placement Experience:

Placements are also very opportunist in our college. In IITs, students can apply for a placement, in any year, just they need to clear the exams and interviews as conducted by respective companies. Nvidia just visited but gave no offers for this season's placement drive. 80 percent of students got placed. After my B.Tech completion, I will do the job.

College Life at IIT Ropar

Likes

I really like my campus and the weather here in Ropar.

Dislikes

But the campus is little too far from cities like Chandigarh.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have wanted to do electrical engineering since high school, so I chose this course at IIT Ropar. The male-female student ratio is decent. The term exam is held on a regular basis, and the difficulty level of the exam is challenging.

Budding Institute with great learning atmosphere.

Likes

Infrastructure as it is built with the latest architecture
Campus Life : Its great meeting talented people and having fun and studying with them 24/7
Faculty : Some professors are very helping and guide us

Dislikes

Hostel : there are sometimes issues about hostel wifi .
Course : Some courses have compulsory attendance
Clubs : the clubs have to be active to survive the Inter IIT competition

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible after the 7th Semester for the placement. The major companies include Microsoft, TI, Google, Uber, and Nvidia. The highest package was 70 LPA and the average is 20 LPA . Around 94 percentage of the students got placed in the recent batch.

Honest Truths of iit ropar

Likes

Knowlegeable Profs, Good Infra, Peaceful Campus
Placement and internship cell, As i got intern offer from samsung banglore
Opportunity to develop overall personality, you can lead clubs in 2nd and 3rd years, be in fest core team

Dislikes

I am kinda partypersom so no clubs, pubs in ropar
Average Food quality also not so many eateries in campus
Small library With Less numbers of books

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem Students starts apeering for placements, Almost every company visted IIT Ropar, But branch and cgpa matters a lot. Highest package would be 65 lakh from rubrik and average package is around 15lpa overall , for cse 24 lpa, around 90% got placed, My plans is to get Masters from US.

SDE internships in IIT Ropar

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students are eligible to sit for campus placements. All the big companies you can think of, come to IIT Ropar. The highest package is around 70 Lacs and the average is around 15 lakhs. almost 80% of students got placed every year.

There is one minor and one major, there are quizzes too. Usually grading is up to professors individually. Exams are neither too easy nor too hard to pass. Being an IIT, one can't expect the exams to be too easy either
