IIT Ropar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Google, NVIDIA and likewise many others who are planning to have their setup in Punjab are already hiring a lot of people from our college. So, placements median so far is close or a shade above 10 but obviously it will grow to 20 till our turn comes.

The placements are pretty average in our college for CSE, EEE,MNC, AI placements are top notch like really good but for bramches such as mechanical, civil the placements are average, not that good. the college has placement drive in two phases.

Last year placement season was good. It was very good for mathematics and computing. Alolmost every student of mnc branch who sit in the placement got placed with an average package of around 24 lakh per annum. Students who are in 7th semester are eligible for ampus placements .big companies like Google,de shaw,adobe visited etc.

After 6th semister students is eligible for placement Company like microsoft, samsung, amazon, mahindra, L&T visited 85 % students got placed with average package of 15.85lpa I planing to do MBA for IIM .

The placement ratio is almost 90% ....and the average package is also very nice Highest package in my college was 55LPA and average was 23LPA Highest package in chemical Engg was 44LPA and average was 20.5LPA

From third year we can sit in our placement cell. The placement of our college is preemtty good. The average package overall is about 20 to 25 lakhs per anum and about 32 lakhs for cs branch. Almost 80 to 90 percent of students get placed in cs branch. Highest package this year is about 58 lakhs( domestic ).

The placement scenario is quite good and increasing day by day. Recently, companies like Oracle, Google, Pattern, BPCl, TATA Steel, Adobe, etc., have taken our students as interns and the past interns also received PPOs from the above companies.

after the completion fo sixth semester stuudents become eligible for campus placements ,t he campanies adani,google uber deloitte oracle amazon intel and zomato cashfree it offered around one twenty offers the highest package was fifty-five lpa average package was twenty-one lpa.the perecentage of students getting placements was seventy three in the current year .my plans after getting my degree is going to highes studies in japan i have some keen interest in my course .after obtaining my degree i plan to go abroad and complete my education.my goal is to become a successfull engineer

The curriculum is not very useful in my views. Except for English none of them are up to date. For example in computing course, we study c language instead of cpp. Also in maths, the calculus is the topic and in exams marks are alloted on the basis of well one wrote in the sheet and it isn't the best method to calculate answer.
