For a general category student tution fee per semester is around 1lakh 10 thousand and hostel and mess fees is about 30 thousand per semester. For students having less than 5lakh per annum income or 2 lakh per annum income, they are provided with scholarship by the institute. For SC/ST students they are resempted from paying tuition fees.

Campus life of IIT Ropar

The yearly fee structure is around Rs.1,14,000 which is the academic fees only. The tuition fee is fixed, that is, Rs.1,00,000, the other Rs.14,000 is other fees like medical, Student Activity Fund(SAF), etc. As I am a SC student I don't have to pay the tuition fee I just pay the other expenses.

Life At IIT Ropar

Tution fees here in IITs are very less as compared to other private colleges. Here the tution fees for 4 years is roughly 8 lakhs. Including other charges the fees only goes up till 2.4 lakhs per year which is roughly 10 lakhs for 4 years. Financial support is easily available for students who are economically weak. Many scholarship oppurtunities are there if someone wishes to avail them, he/she can easily avail them.

The tution fee is 100000 per semester. There are concessions in the tution fee based on the income. Also there are many scholarships and rewards available based on the income and excellence. Institute is not much expensive.

This is my take on iit ropar

In iit ropar., cost is about 10 lakhs for 4 yrs. This is not excluding hostel and mess fees. Mess is quite bad. Fee hike is negligeble because this is a government college so dont worry about fees because you get interest free loan.

IIT ROPAR : My Institute

The fee structure is defined per semester. The hostel fee for 6 months is 12500 and the course fee for 6 months is 106000. The mess fee is 130 rupees per day. The scholarship scheme is based on the annual income of the family of the student. So the student can get financial assistance on the basis of the annual income of their family.

The college fee is high it was obvious good education comes with a cost. But our college has very good scholarship schemes so that financially weak people can also avail themselves good quality education. The college complete course fee is around 9 lakh but the return on investment is very good the college meets the IIT standards of placement. The college also runs scholarship programs like Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship, Scholarship for M.Tech/M.S students, Scholarship for PhD. CSE at IIT Ropar is very good. The placements, Internships are great.

There are scholarships based on your family income. If it's is below 1 lac./yr, then 100% scholarship is given. If between 1-5 lac/yr, then only 1/3rd fees have to be paid. Other than this, if you perform good in academics, then also around 66,500 + 7,000 is given to students. Many companies also come to the college to provide scholarships to students good in any particular field. There are clubs like Placement Cell, which helps students in Internships and Placements. Placement is very good in the college.
