Iit ropar offers a great range of scholarship opportunities for students.
The placement opportunities are very good here even in core branches it is good
I liked the campus first of all, its so beautiful . the four pillars at the entry is the main attraction of campus

Dislikes

There are no air conditioning system in hostels leading to problems in summer
They did scam as they converted the single rooms to double rooms this is really bad as they took fesss they it is to promote bonding but this is a piece of shit
Mess food is not so good here it is not tasty

IIT Ropar: A dream comes true

Likes

The library, academic, gym of IIT Ropar each have a unique vibe . The library is a quiet sanctuary filled with endless resources and a peaceful atmosphere.perfevt for focused study or getting lost in books.
The gym on the other hand is a place for physical development where student can blow off steam stay fit and find balance between the mental rigor

Dislikes

There is nothings as I dislike but there should be a swimming facilities and an indor badminton court for practice .

Placement Experience:

Placement are good with avg of 19 lakhs and median of 15 lakhs and highest of 64 lakhs per annum. Students are eligible from 7th sem for placements. Companies like Google ,Microsoft,Flipkart, Amazon, Texas etc visits our college with 4to 5 offers each or sometimes more. 200 offers are made and around 80 percent students got placed from IIT Ropar. I have planned to go for ms in usa after my degree

The best out of best about iit ropar

Likes

I liked the proffesors teaching which is so good that you can grasp any of the thing they said with one night preparation
The infrastructure of the college is so good that there is an super academic block which is awesome
Also the non academic things is the college like sports are so good

Dislikes

There are not many clubs that of my interest which is so bad
There are very less canteens available to students
Hostel rooms are small which is one thing I dint like

Placement Experience:

From the third semester students become eligible for the placement like internships and main placements start at fourth year. companies like Wipro, HCl , Zomato, swiggy, Google, etc many companies visit our college and many offer have been made to the students. In the last year the highest package was 86 lakhs offered and average package over all branches was 22 lakhs per annum.and the last year almost 76 Percent of the applied students have got placed and my plans after getting the degree is to do a good job in a very big mnc

IIT Ropar, a brief overview

Likes

The crowd. Students are really bright and overall provides a good healthy competitive environment
The clubs. A lot of cultural, sports, literary and tech clubs are present.
Placements. A lot of good companies regularly visit for placemements

Dislikes

Reachability, location is a bit off, in rural rupnagar
While there are a few options for food and groceries, i feel we need even more of them
Students are somewhat lax towards builiding a strong culture in terms of participation.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are done at the end of 7th semester and continue till the end of 8th semester. Lot of top MNCs like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, DeShaw, Sprinklr etc visit our campus and hire students regularly. In my branch, almost 100% students sitting for placements get placed by the time they graduate. I plan to work in IT after graduating

Profs are really supportive with their teaching Assistants that guide you like siblings

Dislikes

Attendence Criteria is 75%, most disliked thing by all students

Placement Experience:

Placements are offered in the 8th semester, i.e 4th year. The placement record if IIT Ropar is really good with always-increasing graph each year. The placements of core branches like Civil are not as good as CSE but they are satisfactory.

Our college placement is so good and averge package is about 10 LPA
Mess food is quite good .so many varity will seen in our mess.
Scholarship was introduce by college to so much student

Dislikes

Climate of our college is very different in summer there is so much hotness.
Acedmic session is so tough and very hard exam was taken
fees is quite high as per middle class family

placement of our college is quite good in every branch 90percent of student get placed in india top companies and they get averge package 10lpa. other 10percent of student have their choices likes they have to start their startup and other things.

The best insight about IIT ropar

Likes

The infrastructure of the college is soo good . this is a new IIT so the central govt gives the funds to the college which makes college to not lack even a single facility
The opportunities are soo much huge in this college be it in any domain
the extracurricular activities clubs and sports all of these cultures are hugely available

Dislikes

the location of the college far from the city
travel facility to this college as less public transport is available
lack of proper canteens and hotels inside the college

Placement Experience:

placements are great . companies hier students for SDE , core and non core domains . companies offer more for SDE role and more oppurtuinites as compared to non core and core . for sde average package lies aroung 20-25 lpa . for core and non core around 12-20lpa

Review of a gem IIT Ropar

Likes

College culture is very awesome and night is very engaging. I enjoy my college life.
Acedmic is very strict and to achieve max score we have to study daily. College provide good opportunity for placement
College provide best internship opportunities. We have to struggle more to achive this.

Dislikes

Acedmics is very script and we have to study on daily basis
Sports facilities are not so updated no cricket ground
Overral experience is very nice but ministry can improve it

Placement Experience:

College provide campus placement with a avg package of 22lakh. Many companies visit our college like Google , de shaw , Microsoft , bpcl , maruti, sprikler and many more. Google give a package of 45 lpa and bpcl provide 19.5lpa etc

Comprehensive Review of IIT Ropar

Likes

Sports Facility is very good. IIT Ropar provides coaches for all physical sports. A variety of student run clubs and societies provide opportunities
Lab facilities are also very good. The campus is continually expanding and offers modern amenties
IIT Ropar provides a highly qualified faculty with professors holding Phds from prestigious institutions globally.

Dislikes

IIT Ropar campus is in remote area and away from the city.
Academic level like other IITS is of good level so you have to give time for passing the exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is proper in IIT Ropar. The semester goes fully according to the released timetable. And each semester is around 4.5 months. Midsems ends in around 1 week And Endsem ends in around 8 to 10 days depending to the exam timetable.

"IIT ROPAR" best new generation IIT

Likes

I like overall campus life of the college. We can roam in college campus whole night also.
I liked the infrastructure. It is better than many old generation IIT's
The placement opportunities are very good here even in core branches it is good

Dislikes

The food is not good in mess and mess fees is also high
Since it is a new college so college culture is nit so developed
The faculty are very aged and strict and the us no relaxation on attendance

Placement Experience:

Placement are good as it is an IIT. Students can appear for placement at end of forth semister. Some companies are sprinkler, oracle, mahindra and mahindra etc. Last year highest package was 60 lpa . My plan is to appear for GATE and IES exams
