The infrastructure of the college is soo good . this is a new IIT so the central govt gives the funds to the college which makes college to not lack even a single facility
The opportunities are soo much huge in this college be it in any domain
the extracurricular activities clubs and sports all of these cultures are hugely available

Dislikes

the location of the college far from the city
travel facility to this college as less public transport is available
lack of proper canteens and hotels inside the college

course curriculm is at its best as it is decided by the committe of iits . the best course curriculm for the engineers .internship,projects and lab works makes us get prepared for the real life applications

placements are great . companies hier students for SDE , core and non core domains . companies offer more for SDE role and more oppurtuinites as compared to non core and core . for sde average package lies aroung 20-25 lpa . for core and non core around 12-20lpa

there is complete fee waiver for sc/st and those whose income is less than 1 lakh for those who fall in range from 5lakh-1lakh has to pay 40k per sem and the rest should pay 1.2lakh per sem mess and hostel fee keeps changing from sem tosem

there is a great club,events and sports culture . inter club, inter iit , inter college competitions keep happening giving oppurtunities fro students . there are wide variety of clubs and sports played in college

great hostel facility . two persons per room . nice and new infrastruicture .they provide a bed and ,almirah.cleaning is done by sweepers by college management . nice ventilation and cleanliness is at its peak

the admission for this is through JEE advanced exam conducted all over india . it is conducted once in a year. it has reservation for OBC,SC/ST ans genEWS categorys . also there is reservation for femal qouta . i got all india rank 18k and 4k obc rank through which i got selected

faculty members are highly qualified as IITs only hier excellent faculty.Most of the faculty hold a phd degree from abroad and rest from IITS.faculty are friendly and highly supprtive.faculty ratio is also superb

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

The best out of best about iit ropar

I applied to iit gandhinagar electrical engineering and got rejected as my jee advanced rank was not as par as required to take the course.the admission process of our college is based on an examination called jee advanced and if u get a good rank and pass that examination u can enter our college.i also applied for iit hyd,iit jodhpur etc in which I have got an admission in another branch as I said earlier as I like the electrical engineering branch I joined iit ropar .or college might be worst in sports in comparison to other iits but they are always better than other iits in reasearch orientation side...Read More
