Students seeking admission to B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Planning courses can apply online through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date to apply is November 22, 2024. Only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main 2025 qualified candidates will be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced 2025 (conducted for engineering admission to IITs).

The fee payable at IIT Ropar is subject to change as per the Institute rules.
All SC and ST students will get a 100% tuition fee exemption.
The most economically backward students, whose family income is less than Rs. 1 lakh per annum, shall get full remission of the tuition fee.
The other economically backward students, whose family income is between Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 5 lakhs per annum, shall get a remission of 2/3rd of the tuition fee.
The SC/ST students whose parental income is less than 4.5 lacs will get a free messing scholarship.

All the years I will be paying a course fee of 1 lakh and we should pay a fees of 23 thousand for hostel and mess in total and there would be a rebate for 20 days.this is the total fees that we would be paying for each semester for four years.registration fees for mess is 5000,and the josaa registration fees is 7000 all I have said is for general category students,and also hostel fees is same for all category students.for sc,st there won't be any course fee.for obc,they have to pay 47 thousand if their parents annual income is in the range of 1-5 lakhs. There would an merit cum means scholarship for all students whose parents income is less than five lakhs and secured a cg of 6.5 and above would be getting a scholarship amount of 4thousand per semester of four months this is all what I know regarding scholarships as I am a general category student so I can't get any of the scholarships

- campus is not fully developed like it is developed in 120 acres but rest is empty

i am in sc category so i am geeting full waviour of fees i am paying onlye mess andd hostel fees . but fo general candidates it is about 150000ruppe per sem. our college offer scholarship for students whoe's finaical status is low .schlorship is around 40thousand whose income is less than 4lakh.

- Attendance policy: Attendance is not mandatory for most of the courses. Few proffs only tend to take Attendance seriously
- Mess Facilities: We have air conditioned mess and also coed which is good.
Dislikes
- Academic difficulty: Its quite though to get a 9 sgpa here at iit ropar
- Distance from the main city: Chandigarh is around 50km from here that takes around 90-100 mins to get there.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The tuition fee is almost the same for all iits. They don't vary as such. For iit ropar, it is 100000 for one semester. As for hike in tuition fees, it didn't happened since I have joined. So I don't think there is regular hike in fees. Apart from tuition fees, there is hostel establishment fees and Mess charges. There is also one security deposit that is taken during admission. Including all these fees, the total goes upto 1.3 lakhs per semester. These includes the compulsory fees. Scholarships are given on the basis of academic performance or the financial status or on the basis of category and all. There are many private scholarships also that are provided. One individual can get only one scholarship though. Financial aids are also provided for lower income students. I have not taken any job roles or responsibilities. They don't provide stipend for responsibilities or any other employments. There are several opportunities though for interested students in this field.

- I like the campus as it was very beautiful. And also mess food is very good
- I like the campus life as there were no restrictions so we can roam around at any time

- Placement is not that much better as that of older IITs

There were various scholarships for the students whose family income was very low. Also, there were scholarships for female candidates.

The fees hike here is 10% per semester. Cost to study here is same as in other IIT's or government colleges. Including all the charges it will be around 15-16 lac for whole degree including hostel mess etc . Financial assistance is needed to given . Just fill the form and attach the required forms

Scholarship on a merit basis is available and scholarship for SC/ST/PWD is also available. College provides scholarships through various schemes like Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship. The college also provides an education loan facility and the admission department will fully help you out during the loan process. Yeah so fee for a semester is around 40000 but there are several scholarships are there like1. If annual family income is below 1lakh then you wont have to pay anything, Institute fee will be nil for you2. If your annual fee is greater then 1 lakh but below 4lakh you will be consased with around 33.33k and you will only have to pay the 6k per semester 3. If it greater, then pay the full amount

Academic fees: 114000, hostel and mess fee: 15000(vary) for a semester. There are many types of scholarship which college gives. The most common and famous is merit cum means scholarship, in which selected students getbtution fee reimbursed and students get 1000rs monthly allowance. Students also apply for various government scholarships. Placement in college is good as it is new IIT established in 2008.
