Remarks

First, you have to qualify for Jee mains. Then admission in the college is from the entrance exam Jee advance. Through jossa counseling, you get admission to IIT based on your rank and preferences. Application details can be found on the official website of jee advance and jossa.

Course Curriculum Overview

My decision to opt for this course was merely based on the college placement record compared to other new IITs. The faculty at IIT Ropar is great. The majority of the professors hold a Ph.D. degree. They are cooperative and provide proper guidance in projects as well as examination preparations.

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Companies visit campus in the 5th semester for internships. Companies like google, amazon, adobe, and many more hire students for different-different roles like SDE intern. Companies also provide a good stipend of approximately 1-2 Lakh per month.

Placement Experience

96% of the students from cse got placed with an average salary of 24 LPA. Both core and non-core companies come in IIT Ropar. Top recruiting companies are google, amazon, Microsoft, Samsung, and Flipkart.

Fees and Financial Aid

Course Fees for the B.Tech program are 8Lpa. Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship:- The institute offers Merit - Cum_Means scholarships to undergraduate students. these are permissible for 25% of the students. The present value of Merit-Cum-Means scholarship is Rs.1000 per month and the recipient is exempted from paying tuition fees.

Campus Life

Fests are excellent in our college. A total of 3 fests are organized, the tech fest name Advitiya, the Annual cultural fest named Zeitgeist, and the sports fest named Aarohan. There are many groups in our college like a coding club,debsoc, etc. run by students.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms are good and spacious. Wi-Fi facility is available everywhere on the campus as well as in hostels. Mess food has a large variety of dishes. Else you can eat from the canteen as there are 3-4 canteens on campus.

A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

The best out of best about iit ropar
