Scholarships were available to students who scored first few ranks in the entrance exams, which were a great deal of help to them also, there are internships available through our mentors which is of great help.
Faculty are very good they teach well and they are very experienced with experience of 20 years, and fests happens every month and facilities are very good here like gym gardens library etc and place is very good
There are so many clubs like dance club, science club, maths club, etc and main beauty of the campus are very green and freedom of entry and exit anytime.

Dislikes

Firstly conduction of the entrance was very poor by nta.
At last the canteens. the foods of the canteens are ok but sometimes it too worst
I had a plan to do phd too but due to the academic stress and low facilities that this university is providing, i started to lose my interest on the subject.

Life in Pondicherry University

Likes

Pondicherry University night life with friends
Students can get in and out of hostel as they wish.
Beauty of green campus of this University

Dislikes

Not good food in hostel mess. I get sick from it and have health issues from mess food.
Transport facilities are very bad.The road is not in good condition, which can cause accidents.
Too much favouritism kind of behaviour from faculty members especially towards Tamil students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't any specific reason and all for me to choose this particular course.But then again I did my graduation in social work...so I thought I might give this a try as well .So here I am, pursuing masters in social work in Pondicherry University.But as for me it was a big disappointment in some aspects. The department is not conducting any kinds of workshops and skill training. More theory focused. Which i think especially in social work it should be more skill based sessions, more outreach programs. More exposure shall be given than any other department.. because literally speaking you need those communication and social skills for this profession.So long story short If you want to have campus life you can come to Pondicherry University.it has good campus.But for higher education I'd say otherwise

I liked the greenery of the campus and the constant shade

Dislikes

I hate the mess facilities provided and the lack of an option to quit

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a wonderful course curriculum in the sense that everything has been covered thoroughly to make the graduate eligible for NET exam. The fieldwork curriculum is also strong on paper but tends to fail when applied practically in most cases.

Likes

The atmosphere, diversity , culture and the positivity.
Faculties are good and supportive helps us to get our full potential
Placements are also good and competitive.

Dislikes

For Medical and Psychiatry specialization there is one one faculty which is hectic for the faculty member and the students
It will be difficult for those who hate animals because they are a common visitors of ur hostel.
Placements for some specialisation is not that much wide

Placement Experience:

Tata consultancy services is one of the companies included in the campus placement and 2 of our classmates got selected. Basically during the last semester of the degree campus placements are done. 2 of our friends got selected in federal Bank .

I Have complited my MBA from Distance in year 2021 but i received mu mark sheet and certificate with wrone name. Insted of my name they have put my father's name. So even after sending mails of like 26 times and sending DD of Rs 1100/- they have not done anything and there is no reply in mail and no one oiks up the call. I am so frustrated and loosing hope. I really dont know when this will be corrected..
