Pondicherry University, Puducherry review

Msw is a professional course which helps you to make a positive impact in the society. The MSW course provides by the university focuses on the 3 main specialization :- - Medical and Psychiatry - community development - HR students can select their main interested subject areas during their second year of the course. The department have 7 faculties for 62 students. Faculties have high qualifications and most of them have done their studies in more than one subject area. Before every exams conducted there is a faculty evaluation done by students and from that the best teacher of the year is selected. Exams are conducted timely and there is 2 internal per semesters along with assignments and seminars. If we put our best effort in those the exams are easy for us to pass.

Tata consultancy services is one of the companies included in the campus placement and 2 of our classmates got selected. Basically during the last semester of the degree campus placements are done. 2 of our friends got selected in federal Bank .

For girls there is no hostel fee. The academic fee for one semester is 20,542/- which should be paid at the time of admission. The 2nd semester fees was 3200/- for fourth semester it is 11200/- and for fourth semester it is 3200/-. The department provides scholarship based on merits after the semester exams for the first 10 Students who scored high on the exams.

The university is diverse and vibrant because of which every month there will be some sort of celebration. As the students are from all parts of India, there will be celebrations every month. The university contains library which possess all kinds of books . The classrooms are big and spacious with AC (for some classrooms only) and TV and projector. University gives importance to sports and extra curricular activities. Football matches are conducted most of the time along with other sports. Extra curricular activities are also encouraged. Students have many social groups be it academic, cultural , regional and political. The atmosphere of the university itself is too warm and welcoming. I personally polished my passion for dance during my university period.

The hostel room is big and spacious usually include 3 members. We can decide who we want as our room mates while getting admission to the hostel. The hostel room provides an 2 tables 2 chairs and 2 cupboards ( which may change according to the hostels) and some hostels even provide an elevator. The meals are different in different days. Rasam and sambar will be provided. The meals won't be good for everyone as everyone's taste is different because of the diversity of foods we usually eat. For hostel registration process

When I applied for the university, it was a separate entrance test conducted by pondicherry University. Now the entrance test is conducted by CUET. The application form can be found in the cuet website and also through University website. Application opens on 26/07/2023 and closes on 18/08/2023. Application fee : -UR/ OBC-NCL /EWS - 250/- (150/-)* -SC/ST - 150/- (50/-)* -PwD / transgender - Nil (NIL)* (* for each additional course) Admission process are fast and secure
