Life in PU

The faculty - student relationship is not at all bad.It is also depends on the nature and behaviour of faculty and student.professors are approachable,but busy also.For 1st year ug students phd scholars will be taking class.They are friendly and helpful.There are minimum two internal exams.It is medium - hard range.It is easy then we study and follow the instructions of tutors.The no of students who gets supply is less.The course curriculum has good standard and quality.

Rgcet comes under Pondicherry university. In This university it is very easy to clear the exams. So teachers don't put actual effort in importing knowledge the the students. Most Teachers in this college are very lethargic. But compared to other affiliated colleges in Pondicherry this is little ok. In CSE and IT department, the faculties are good and the placement is also fine. In BME and ECE department, it is not so great. There is only 2 or 3 faculty who care about the students placement and knowledge factor. The student to teacher ratio is 50:1 approximately. The exams are not thst difficult. Predicted questions only are asked. And the correction is also very lenient. Only few students fail to clear. The course curriculum is good.

Pondicherry University - The green campus

There is a fare faculty to student ratio.Most of them are approachable and some are not . There is faculty named Dr Shankar (biochemistry) he was very approachable and good teacher , teaches from the basics to the top. There will be 2 or3 internals before the sem exams for each subject. The internals schedule will not be in a fixed way and will be in a rush. The exams are of moderate level not too hard or too easy . Most of the students manage to pass . We have refer to many books for the exam because the papers are checked by professors who expect high level answers. The course curriculum is relevant in a way that we can explore all the branches of life sciences.

About my college

Faculty members are good. Their teaching also that is govt college only but they give more efforts to students development. Only 2 semester per year, otherwise class test also conducted for student development. That is very useful to buy more marks for semester exam

All about Pondicherry University

Dislikes

Some professors and scholars are not fit to be reached here and still they opt this place

In my class there are 70 students from various major and one common course and we have 3 teachers for that one common course which contains three papers. In my history department there is a professor called ruman Banerjee he is good and gives important to practical learning and execution he takes us to field sites and help us understand the subject more clearly. There is a professor called luv (in tamil) his english is so bad students have difficulties to understand what he is saying. In a year there are 2 semester each having four papers 2 from major and 2 from ITEP. On a average 3-5 students have difficulties clearing the paper. The course curriculum covers practical theories and essential skills for us to survive in the domain.

Lab facilities and friendly teaching nature

Almost every faculty are friendly in the college. Semester is conducted based on revised college schedule. Paper correction are based on college and department staffs. Internal marks are alloted 25 . Cat 1,cat2,model exam , assignment, attendance each carries 5 marks for internal. Lab contains serperate exams including model practical.

I like the way they teach the class overall the facility members are well trained and more supportive for the statements placements.

There are totally 8 semester in our college for btech programs being conduct by our college in the hall of 6 months our college is autonomous and they conducting for mock test before semester too improve the quality of writing. I like dept start members very well.

1: 30 faculty to student ratio. Faculty to student relationship is pretty much good but some issues will faced by north indians I liked my microbiology faculty her name is Nanditha mam because she teaches us in practical way.
