All about Pondicherry University

Likes

The university campus is worth studying for indulging in nature and a peaceful environment.
The facilities are great here, they have library, reading halls, canteen, engineering wing, placement wing, nss, ncc and much more.
You can have great exposure to different kind culture and traditions and it accommodate various students from various regions

Dislikes

Still it needs regular maintenance and need for more buildings
Some professors and scholars are not fit to be reached here and still they opt this place
One major drawback is the location of the University as it is present in the outskirts of the Pondicherry

Internships Opportunities:

There are various institutions that provide intership for students and also students can prefer the institutions. Some of the institutions that offers internship in my major are french institution, sakar institute, sharma institue, cpr Ramaswamy institute. You have to learn and experiment on archaeological sites and subject and note them.

Likes

Lab facilities and friendly teaching nature
Cultural events with more number of celebrities
Infrastructure of college campus with lift facilities

Dislikes

Rules about bringing mobile phones to college in 1st year
Holidays on Saturday are only alternative
Forcing students to do their lab courses

Placement Experience:

Placements of the college are good and in increasing phase. Placements training is also provided in college from 6th semester as per students wish. Combination of core and software companies will hire students in placement

I like the way they teach the class overall the facility members are well trained and more supportive for the statements placements.
I also like the lab and college infrastructure the still maintain in a good way
I also like the transport facility and hostel facility which is arranged by the management for the outdoor students.

Dislikes

They didn't give the same preference or same share to the sports
I didn't like the time they allocate for the lunch the class hours is one hour and the lunch is 40 minutes
You may not be able to adjust to how fast the life at college

Likes

The qualification of faculty is very good even they teach us from scratch
Infrastructure is also decent and electricity and water never get off
They course curriculum is way more organised and they gave schedule in advance

Dislikes

We get very less amount of holiday specially north side people due to lack of festival
The co curricular activities are very less .and events are also not very good
The engeneering comittee is very bad if some issues happened in lecture hall we have to give 5 times letter to the dean

In my course there is a internship for 1 complete year In which you get 20000 rupees per month. During internship you have to give duty in hospital for a particular no. Of hours like 72 hr continuously.

I appreciate that college teaching is good and sports is best and infrastructure want to improve and they need to add some valuable course
Campus life is feel peace and pleasant and social interaction is feel good with everyone talking to both male and female friends is quotes good
Teaching is quite better,teaching method is not bad,mentorship quality is good

Dislikes

Placement services and package they offer is not as expected..they need to improve
Infrastructure is not good as expected and labs are not as much as convenient
After completing BTech Ece I need to become a professional embedded engineer

Internships Opportunities:

Ignite labs providing internships in our college and they preparing us to make new projects and they approach us to bring new ideas to prepare for the project and they making the new project with our ideas

I liked my campus environment and friendly staffs
University infrastructure is very good and have many facilities
The air ventilation in this college is so good and the equipment used in this college is up to date

Dislikes

I dislike the transportation facility near this college
Sometimes language barriers happens because of the students from different states
Canteen is to be improved and sitting facility to be improved

Internships Opportunities:

Many companies from Chennai,coimbatore and some major cities offered internship programme projects need to be submitted in 7th semester you have to bring ideas and make projects about your ideas with group or seperately

We have modern and expansive library , digital classrooms, auditoriums etc. in each of the departments.
Our university offers a comprehensive academic experience with a curriculum that covers all major areas that is helpful for all the competitive examinations.
Over 140 PG and research programs are offered by the university. Thus the students have a wide range of options. University have even extramural find of over 50 crore providing the students with opportunities to engage in reasearch activities

Dislikes

The hostel facilities are reported good from outside. But inside it is very difficult especially during monsoon season.
The quality of food is very low. For the amount we are paying atleast we can have good quality food
There are a lots of dogs inside the university campus especially in hostels and lecture hall complexes

Internships Opportunities:

Internship are usually searched and applied by the students itself. Usually we will apply for top institutions like IITs and also some state universities also. The procedure of applying to these institutions are usually based on the information we are giving based on our academics. And the recommendation given by our faculties also matters. Stipend amount statrts from 2000 and it goes upto 100000 based on the companies

Pondicherry university: A perfect blend of academics, campus life, and affordability.

Likes

Quality of education and facualty are high qualified and knowlwdgeable with many holding ph.d in thier respective fields
the university has diverse student community for different states ,leading to rich cultural exchange
The placement cell invites good companies, especially for computer science students. However placements are for software and testing roles

Dislikes

There is less direct interaction with the industry
the hostels are decent but sometimes maintain issues are raised
placements for other departments is not as strong

Placement Experience:

at pondicherry university ,students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd semister.companies like tcs,infosys,wipro, visit campus offer jobs in software development and testing.the highest packagge is around 4-6lpa.70-80 percdnt students get placed.after completing my degree i plan secure a good job in it.
