Computer Science Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar is not at its full potential under the current situation as compared to other IITs. Being inaugurated in the year 2008, CS still does not have its own separate dedicated department or school and comes under the School of Electrical Sciences. However, the School of Electrical Sciences is one of the fastest-growing schools in IIT Bhubaneswar. This school offers an intensive research-oriented learning environment. City is also close so that we don't need to spend much on autos.Teachers are friendly and didn't even expect that kind of behaviour from those experienced faculty. Curriculum is also very decent for all branches and cources.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Generally open category students will have fee 100000 INR tution fee, 19000 INR institute fee and 18000 INR of mess fee ,per semester. For students with 100000 to 300000 annual income, tution fee is 33333 INR and rest same. For students with less than 100000 income or SC or ST or PWD tution fee is nil. They just have to pay mess and institute fee. Other scolarships options are also available. If we opt for those this fee remission is not valid.

Starting from 4-year Btech the 5 year dual degree the joint Msc-Phdthe mtech program and the phd-MS-r program .For btech and dual degree in their 3rd ,5th,7th semesters the totoal fees for genereal,EWS,OBC categoris are Rs.121390 with a reduced fee of 21390 for SC/ST/Pwd for thosew in the 9th seem the fee is 27390 fro general category and 22390 for sc/st/pwd coming to mtech for general it is 27390 and for sc it is 22390 an dsponsored students s 47390.and there is a scholarship also for obc people and ews people.

Tution fees varies from semester to semester.In the first semester ,the tuition fees was about 1,30,000 and hostel fees of 18,000.There is a loan facility to help the students who cannot afford to pay the fees with low interest rates.

Dislikes

System of spending two years to teach non-CSE subjects.

Fees are charged every semester. Per semester you have to pay nearly RS 1,14,000 for tuition and hostel and nearly RS 14,000 for mess advance. There are several scholarships for students whose parents belong to a lower income income category. For families below one lakh of annual income, there is no tuition and hostel fees. Families below five lahks of annual income, receive some discount on their tuition and hostel fees. Talking about internship and placement, the recession and the institute's NIRF rank have impacted a lot of students, especially in batch 2021. At the time of writing, only 15–20 students have got internships out of a batch of 80 students.

IIT Bhubaneswar your dream emerging IIT

The culture here is the best part very friendly environment. And we have a lot of societies and fests which we can enjoy during our coursework. Also, the course work provide us the knowledge which we can use in the practical life.

Some of the courses like civil courses like lateral and the breath. We have to opt for, which are not relevant to our main courses, but we have to take it.

The tuition fees per semester is around 1,00,000. And the hostel fee is 50,000. So overall, 1,50,000. Also, we can get fee waiver here to on the basis of income certificate If the monthly income is less than 1,00,000 and belongs to the obc, then we get full fee waiver. Otherwise, if the monthly income arranges between 1,00,000 and 3,00,000 then 2/3 fee will be forgiven. Also, the campus placement here is very good. Big companies like De Shaw, Media.net come every year and take so many students from my college.

Fee structure is about 1,20,000 per semister approximately which is semister fee.Along with that we will have 18000 pet semister as mess and hostel fee . But some exceptions will be there in fee based on reservations

Developing iit and it will be better in second generation iit

Per semester for general categories we have to pay 1,16,000.for sc/st 30,000. Scholarships are provided like merit scholarships and for economically backward students like income less that 3lakhs will get full fee remebiresement.

For oc candidates fees structure is 160000/- and you will get fees remution of 100000. Each year you have 2 semesters. For each semester institute fees = 15000/- Hostel fees = 18000/- (Note : For general candidates 100000/- extra for institute fee) You will get 100000/- fee remution after.
