IIT Delhi Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The main reason for this course was my interest in industry infrastructure. The faculties are supportive and the faculty to student ratio is roughly about 1:15. The faculty is very experienced and has PhD's from well reputed colleges such as Ivy Leagues. Curriculum is balanced and the exams are generally on the tougher side, so the averages go pretty low.

The course curriculum overall is pretty well designed and balanced. I won't say that it is perfect, there are certainly some changes that need to be done with that, especially in the first year, where in the computer science course they teach you MATLAB instead of C++, python, Java and other famous languages. There is certainly a lot of burden on the head because of the expectations of the family and the intellectual environment that an IIT provides you, hence maintaining the overall CG is definitely a struggle. But there are lots of other stuff like clubs and events and fests that IIT's are known for. The Rendezvous fest ( cultural fest of IITD) , TRUST ( tech. Fest at IITD) , and BECON and what not.

Initially I didnt know whether it would work out for me or not but I was interested in Logic and Math so I chose this course form elimination (this might sound silly ),Faculty student ratio is 1:5 its quite ample.Qualification is too high for the faculty they know about the course more than anyone in the country.Teaching method of the faculty is good overall most of them hard to understand and few are very good at explaining.Exams were on a period of 2 months and passing them was easy hard part is score good.

My domain of interest was in cars and bikes so I decided to take mechanical engineering and in IIT Delhi I got this branch. Here professor gives special attention if we remain in contact with them and there is good gender ratio.

Companies like Google, Amazon, Graviton Research, BCG etc. come for placements. Most people get placed in some company. The range of packages offered is very wide - a few lakhs to 1Cr+. I will probably pursue higher studies after my degree.

My college is known for its excellent placements in India as well as abroad. Most students get placed in high-paying jobs in the first couple of days of on-campus placements only. A lot of companies visit the campus.

from third-semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Microsoft, google and amazon are visited iit delhi in placement season and the number of offers made and profiles offered can vary from company to company.

Placements are one of the best in the whole country for our college. Big companies from Tech to Consultancy To Finance and Trading visit and pick up students on big packages. Nearly 85-90% of students are placed every year with the highest package crossing 1-2 cr and the average package being 9-10 lpa

The placement season begins in the 7th semester. Many big companies like google, amazon, BCG, Microsoft etc. come to the campus to hire students. The highest packages go beyond a crore, and the average is also pretty modest.

The placements in my college are pretty decent. Students can only get placements in the last year. There are many companies with packages in the range of 6L to 3Crs. Almost all students get a placement.
