Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I had an interest in Computer Science and it had good future prospects. The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:15. The faculty have PhDs from universities abroad. The exams and grading are hard.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 238000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are quant companies like Jane Street, Tower Research, Graviton, SDE companies like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and consulting companies like BCG, McKinsey etc. Only about half of the students get internships.

Placement Experience

Companies like Google, Amazon, Graviton Research, BCG etc. come for placements. Most people get placed in some company. The range of packages offered is very wide - a few lakhs to 1Cr+. I will probably pursue higher studies after my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a tuition fee waiver for people with an annual family income of fewer than 5 lakhs per annum. Scholarships are also given based on merit, for example - IITD Endowment Scholarship is given based on CGPA, and the merit list is released every semester, etc.

Campus Life

There is a cultural fest - Rendezvous, being conducted in March. Tryst is a tech fest, also in March. Many books and journals are available in the library. There are many clubs like Quizzing, Debating, Drama, Literature, Music, etc.

Admission

The eligibility criteria are 75% in class 12 boards. Admission is through JEE Mains followed by JEE Advanced. The forms and other relevant information can be found on the website jeeadv.ac.in. The form fee is currently 2900 rupees.

From Classrooms to Campus ; my dtu journey

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

NIT Delhi: A Balanced Blend of Academics, Opportunities, and Campus Life

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.
