Course Curriculum Overview

3

As I mentioned before the course curriculum is outdated and not been updated from many years. Industry level learning is not prioritised in the curriculum but some measures are being taken by organising Seminars and Speakers from the experts in their field to provide some insights and give us a view that how industry works how what we learn can be implemented in the indudtry but the initiatives are very slow. Marking scheme for the Exams has been changed from the year 2024 as student has to get pass in theory exams and practical exams separately and you have to get marks above 25 with mid term + end term marks to get pass in theory exams they dont provide much to prepare for both as practical exams get are held just a day before the theory exams and the curriculum of theory and practical exam is different sometimes which makes an extra burden on us.

Internships Opportunities

3

The interships provided by college are only for the Third year students so I dont know about the internship scenario for now. But I have heared about it some seniors mentioned that this year the competition even for intership is very high even the companies were not allowing students of ECE branch for OAs (Online Assessment).

Placement Experience

3

Students of Fourth Year are eligible for the campus placements as of now I am in second year I don't have exposure to that knowledge. I will get the placement after getting degree if not than i will start my own startup and agency.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure increases every year by 20,000 Rupees per year as when I took admission in 2024 its fees for first year was 2,36,700 and now in second year it was 2,46,700 and in third year it will be 2,66,700 and for the fourth year it will be 2,86,700 rupees. This fees includes 700 rupees for DTU Medical facilities which someone rarely uses, 15,000 Rupees for examination fee which is till the third year and 17,000 rupees in Fourth Year. A part of our fees which we pay also covers the fund for the EVS category students which is 10,000 Rupees and at the last there is another 36,000 Rupees charges for Facilities and services charges for first and second year and then it increases to 38,700 Rupees for third year and 40,000 Rupees for Fourth Year so this was the total fee structure. There are different types of scholarship which are for SC, ST and EVS category students and also for students who have annual income lower than 2.5 Lakhs but some students make misuse of it by providing false lower income documents. There is another scholarship which has the same lower income criteria known as NSP Scholarship it provides the students scholarship of greater amount than the fees itself which covers all kinds of costs of the students including travelling fare, stationary, laptops, gadgets, etc.

Campus Life

3

There are several annual festivals going on annually but some of the famous fests are Engifest which is one of the biggest Fest of North Indian Colleges which is about the happen in mid Feb and before that we have a tech fest namely INVICTUS and also YUVAAN which is a cultural fest held in octover or November everyyear all these fests are managed by the different socities and Cultural Council. Our library has soo many books for each branch and dedicated learning area for the students library is well vantilated and fully air conditioned and provides us with a wide range of books with different authors but some of them are of very old edition. We have huge area for the sports complex a cricket ground , football ground, dedicated Indoor and outdoor badminton , tennis court, table tennis court and chess area carrom, basket ball court , volleyball court but they are always just empty as we have classes from 10 am to around 6 pm and sports equipment are only provided between time 10 am to 4 pm so all this is not of use for day scholars only the professors who live in the campus itself and hostel students can get benifit of it.

Admission

I got this college according to my rank in JEE Mains exam. Admission process was nice as first i had got the NSUT DWARka with the same branch but after the second round of counselling i got admission in this College as I had put DTU above the NSUT in the preference list. Only JEE Mains is accepted for B.Tech courses in DTU. So talking about the admission process we have to first clear the JEE Mains examination and after that we have to do counselling through JAC Delhi in which we have to choose a preference and make a list of colleges with preferred branch and submit it in the JAC Portal and after several rounds of college allotment process whch takes 1 to 2 months we get the college according to out JEE Mains rank and preferene list than we have to go to the college aloted to use Physically for the document verification , one the verification is done our admission is confirmed in the college and we get admission letter and are able to attend the college from the starting of session.

Faculty

3

Faculty to student ratio is not that good but it varies according to the branch but according to my branch there is definitely no that much teachers in our branch as some of the teachers are repeated in further courses and even for some subjects they just provide us with the PHD schpolars or M.Tech students some of them even dont have experience. I like some of the teachers not just because of academics but also their behaviour in class like Kriti Maam she is an excellant teacher as she teaches us Digital Design 2 in a very simple way so that even hard concepts are understandable to us. And her way of teaching is very engaging and also talks with us solve our doubts in a very calm and polite way. Every teacher is good in their own way so I cant just direspect anyone personally here.

Night Life

2

As I am a day scholar i have never experieced night life in my campus but some students say it is very fun and most of the time you will find couples roaming around. In the night one can enjoy the beauty of our campus because lights are lit in night which elevates the experience of living inside college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

Placement Experience:

The placements are in good terms, many students get a placement with nice package. Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd Semester. TCS made about 7 offers as far as I know. One can expect the highest package of 2.5crore and an average of 200000. About 80% of students gets placement because of the skills they learned wheres the rest 20% are only at college to do mischievous acts. After getting the degree, I will find a job and then after enough capital I will start my own startup.

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
