Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:15. Most faculties have PhDs from well-reputed colleges, including Ivy League. The exams are held a semester (two minors and a major) thrice. Apart from that, we also have quizzes which are dependent on the course faculty. The exams are generally hard, and the average marks go low.

Internships Opportunities

Many companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Bain, BCG, Most quant firms etc., come to get interns at IITD. The stipends are decent, and a good percentage of hard-working students get promising internships.

Placement Experience

The placement season begins in the 7th semester. Many big companies like google, amazon, BCG, Microsoft etc. come to the campus to hire students. The highest packages go beyond a crore, and the average is also pretty modest.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee is around 238000 per year, which is low compared to other private colleges. Hostel fees are around 60000 per year, and this includes mess charges. Many scholarships and financial assistance are available depending on the student's situation.

Campus Life

Campus life is very good. There are two major annual fests which are held during the months of March-April: Rendezvous and Tryst. Apart from that, we have facilities and equipment for almost all sports. The infrastructure of campus buildings is also very good.

Hostel Facilities

In the first year, rooms are shared among three students, whereas two people share a room in the second and third years. Everyone gets a single room in their final year. Mess food is of standard quality and evening snacks are also provided.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

To get into IIT, you have to give two competitive exams. The first is Jee mains, in which you have to get a rank under around 200000 to qualify for jee advanced. After that, you have to give JEE Advanced, which is very tough to clear. Admission to different courses throughout the IITs is made based on rank.

From Classrooms to Campus ; my dtu journey

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

NIT Delhi: A Balanced Blend of Academics, Opportunities, and Campus Life

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.

Firstly, IIT Delhi is a platform fromWhere you can achieve anything be it High salary, entrepreneurship, research and higher education, civil services, and what not to mention. We have Indias best labs in educational institutions and we are not limited to the discipline we choose, a physics student can do research in biology or a mechanical student can sit in coding interviews.
