Course Curriculum Overview

The main reason for this course was my interest in industry infrastructure. The faculties are supportive and the faculty to student ratio is roughly about 1:15. The faculty is very experienced and has PhD's from well reputed colleges such as Ivy Leagues. Curriculum is balanced and the exams are generally on the tougher side, so the averages go pretty low.

Class Size: 85Course Fees: INR 238000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities in the campus are massive. Companies such as Google, Microsoft, Apple, Meta, Graviton, Goldman Sachs and a lot more come to the campus to hire for internships. Although it is roughly half of the students that get placed, but still it rewards hardworking talent really well. Roles vary all the way from creative engineers to team heads.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is reasonable, considering the quality, services and facilities provides. Despite, there is fees warier for students with family income less than 5 lakhs. Besides, there are scholarships and schemes such as IITD Endowment Scholarship to reward meritorious students on their grades.

Campus Life

The campus has a variety of non academics opportunities to offer. Their is annual cultural fest of rendezvous which involves celebrities such as Benny dayal, zakir khan etc. Besides, there is annual tech fest tryst and other fests as well Such as literati, becon etc. BRCA clubs have a variety of different competitions such as stalwarts by DebSoc, Group Dance etc. Majority clubs and student bodies are run by student themselves

Hostel Facilities

Hostel has a variety of rooms for different years. Freshers are allotted rooms on triple sharing basis. 2nd year are given on double sharing while 3rd and 4th year students get double or single rooms, depending on choice and availability. Meal quality is decent and evening snacks and tea are provided alongside regular Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Registration is done when freshers come on board while allotment of hostels is done prior.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

The eligibility for the course is JEE Advanced and cutoff for JEE Advanced is JEE Mains exam. Also, you must have 75% or above in class 12 board examinations. The cutoff for my branch was around 1900 rank. The application form can be found on jeeadv.ac.in and the form costed around 2900 rupees. The admission procedure is pretty fair in my opinion.

Placement Experience:

The placement was not too good it was bad the main reason was like it have not in better place if student want to grab an offer he do offcampus apply so they get job .The companies visted our collage was tcs ,infosys , wipro and sometime Amazon. The highest pacakge was offers in 2020 for almost like 30LPA after that non of them get that much placement .In simple wprd you are the reason of your too get placed in companies . In our collage not fang companies offerd placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Placement Experience:

From 6 semester all students are eligible for campus placements there are almost more than 30+ companies come to make offers and don't recall the names but almost 34 lakh per annum is the highest package they offer and some lucky students also get 80 lakh per annum package almost 80 percent students get placed.

The corses are well designed And related to your curiculum evey course are relevent for student the course they provied in first sem are Math,computational thinking,Intoduction to south asia,ENG,Phy. most of collages have mechanical in their first sem where they have to do weilding ,crafting etc which have no use in course of CS.

IITD is an old IIT and has an entrepreneurial atmosphere making it my first choice.I applied for the some other colleges I am comparing with ahead. Fulfilling experience at IITD.

Bachelors is required with 55% atleast. JAM score is required. Cut off for obc was 33 as far as I remember . The entrance test tests your quantitative and qualitative ability. All the details are given on the website of iit delhi or just typing JAM would do. JAM gives you the opportunity to do your msc economics from iits. Admission to IITD occurs through JEE Advanced; In which an individual had to first clear JEE Mains then ADV. They have to prepare for three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics; concepts must be clear from the base level. As soon as the application form will be released; news will come in newspapers since it's a national-level exam or you can search on the Official Jee mains website. Application fees for Jee Mains in 2022: 650/- and for Jee ADV: 2800/-(not sure). Application dates will be released on the official website.
