Empirical parts of the course have been really helpful, specially when it comes to Econometrics...and it's applications..the course has been fantastic, with it's applications and techniques...even ML had been introduced...

Fees and Financial Aid

My mess fee for waived...tuition fee was waived off...roughly education cost was around one lakh sixty thousand including my hostel stay for the course of the two years...I did internships therein..opted for TAship position where I got 9000 per month as token amount

Campus Life

A lot of them, we attended the Annual Meet of Econometric Society (AMES), moreover a number of social events at IITD- Tryst, Rendevouz to name a few....there were Inter hostel dance competitions, periodic sessions with amazing people...could meet Bill Gates also

Admission

So there is the JAM exam, wherein the entrance is conducted..it happens in the second week of February month every year..available for Masters in Economics at IIT Delhi, Kanpur and Roorkee as of latest knowledge. IITD conducts a separate round of admission for a second way entry during the month of May end or June

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered but I am still in my first year so I have no idea. Students usually go for higher studies (PhD) after master's. Clearing entrances becomes a task. They d offer campus placements it's not that intense as it should be.

I choose this course because I had completed my higher school from medical background so I choose this subject and the faculty and student ration is 1:3 and the qualification of the most of the teachers are either they have PhD degree or post doctoral degree in botany or in life sciences and there semester system for conducting exam and the exam paper was good.

The students become eligible for placements in the last semester. Primal Group, Allen Career Institute, Akash Institute, etc a lot of companies came for placement. This is a time of recession. So, very few students get placements. My plan is to join the coaching industry as a teacher after my degree.

I chose chemistry because when I was 12, I was fond of chemistry. I found it more interesting than physics. All I want to say is - C for colourful H for high in demand E for eagerness always M for mysterious I for interesting all-time in all moods S for symbolic T for table R for rhythmic Y for youthfulness Faculty: students - 3:5 Almost all of the professors have completed their postdoc from foreign and have a lot of experience in the teaching field. This time it is a bit hectic bcz of 2 minors and 1 major but I am happy with this.

Good to excellent

Placement Experience:

From final year onwards students become eligible for placements. There are lot of companies like Accenture, flipkart, Amazon, HSBC, etc which offer 5-10 students. The highest package was 50lakhs -1Cr and average is 9- 15 LPA. Usually much students get placed from our college. But this year the percentage is very low could be due the firing of freshers and fear of corporate companies to hire freshers. I Will go for the placements which is still going ( second season ).

Internships and Oppurtunities

The eligibility for the course is JEE Advanced and cutoff for JEE Advanced is JEE Mains exam. Also, you must have 75% or above in class 12 board examinations. The cutoff for my branch was around 1900 rank. The application form can be found on jeeadv.ac.in and the form costed around 2900 rupees. Honest life at IITD

To be eligible for the B Tech programme in IITD you've to qualify for JEE Adv. The cutoff varies from year to year. Seats are allotted on the basis of the ranks secured by the students in jee adv exam. Once the results are out you've to go through the josaa counselling for which you have to pay. And then based on your choices and rank seats are allotted. The admission process is easy and i don't see any problem associated with it...Read More

Eligibility of the Course 1. JEE Main Qualified 2. JEE Adv Qualified 3.
