Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have choosen this course because I have interest about this course , and this course has a great opportunity after complition This curriculum prepares me by giving me appropriate knowledge about the microbial field and there application in real world and give me an opportunity to learn about microbiology in labs It also covers approximately the whole syllabus needed for csir life science The teachers can improve their teaching method by giving them ppt seperate so that the students focuses more in the class and can use a simple language preferably mix language so that the student can understand easily The frequency and timings of exams along with your perspective on their difficultly level are good and don't contain any re newation

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid about 52000 rs for a year and will pay again for second year , there are no other relaxation whether you belong to any category because in Jamia university only muslim reservation is applicable , my classmates also paying the same amount for fee as there is relaxation in free structure for any other category , there are several scholarship based on merit also and based on your family income you can apply for them if you are willing to take them but not everyone will get the scholarship as you must have a ews certificate for that scholarship or an income certificate proving that you belongs to a class that earn below a certain annual income

Campus Life

4

There are several festivals but don't include any dj or any kind of things that occur in Delhi University , in the university you'll have some days like foundation day and other like on Ramadan in the university they provide lunch for Ramadan The range of the books present in the central library is very vast even in the hostel they provide libraries and in the different departments Anyone can access the books but the students can only borrow the books for several days if they have identity cards Every teacher teaches us during the class with the help of white board and with the help of projector , other departments may teaches the students with smart board , every gate pr department has canteens and printing shops and other facilities also washrooms are there on every floor department also provide lifts facilities The sports offered on campus are versatile, they provide us with various sports option In extracurricular activities I don't have accurate knowledge but I think extracurricular activities don't have that much of versatility within itself There maybe a social group or clubs run etc that students run , I don't have knowledge about that , the students involvement in the clubs are very much even many students involved in various activities

Admission

I have DTU and other colleges also through get b but choose Jamia as it gives good education to the students and other than dtu other colleges are not present in Delhi and I wanted to take admission in college that are placed in Delhi I have applied for nits and IISER through ccmn and wasn't get selected because I have low marks as for getting selected although I got a seat in iiit lakhnow The admission process of my college is through an internal entrance, you have to give an entrance exam for your choosen course and then they will display the cutoff marks and if you have marks according to the cutoff then you can get the admission in Jamia there is no reservation for sc st OBC although there are present for muslim obc or st and muslim women, some can get the seats through cuet exams as some but less courses are offered through cuet exams The cutoff for my court can range from 40 to 50 and can increase or decrease on the basis of difficulty of the exam or the basis of applicants The entrance level is medium In some courses the cutoff can go higher as the number of applicants are more in some courses like in MSc biotechnology you can have difficulties in getting selected and cutoff generally goes to 60 or 70 The admission experience is very good Starting from the entrance the facilities provided for the entrance is good The cutoff related notifications are provided on a seperate website and they provide every information on the website After the selection you have to just go to admission branch of your department with in a certain date and within 5 hours you can get your admission procedure done

Faculty

5

The faculty is very much approachable we generally don't face any problem in it, the faculty to student ratio is also good eg one teacher to 30 students and one practical PhD scholar to 4 to 5 students I like Aman sir head of the bioscience department as he teaches us very well and we can communicate with him easily and he also understand the problem of the students much easily and I think I connect with him more easily There is no faculty I don't like everyone is kind alright There are usually three exams 2 sessional and one end semester exam , they are quite good and I don't think they are hard enough they are easy if a student studies for his or her exam they can easily paas their exams I don't know about that but almost everyone passes the exam The course curriculum is very much or accurately relevant and covers every aspect of the subject a student chooses for their graduation or post graduation or any other education

Night Life

5

The area surrounding the university campus is safe according to me they also provide gym in every hostel, cafeterias and libraries are there in every department or gate The campus in timings is from 9 to 5 and of hostel is from 8 to 11 In gate number 7 arround the main entrance you get the chance to sit with your friends and I think there are mini parks present where you can sit and can chill for few our, outside the Jamia o don't think there is place where you can hangout in side campus very much good for chilling and to just hangout The locality is safe to roam around at night because the roads around some main gates or departments are very busy so don't have to worry about that thing

Yes there is a placement cell here. 2nd year students eligible for campus placement company started visiting campus for placement after one month of 2nd year started . Here company came for mostly 3 roles Data analyst, Data scientist and Subject matter expert. Companies like United Airlines, United Healthcare Optum, Cognitio analytics, Courseleap, transOrg analytics etc visited campus and the package they offer depends on company standards it vary from 5 lpa to 20 lpa . Avg package is around 9 lpa and highest package is offered 20 lpa for Data science role. About 20 to 30 percent of students are getting placed mostly are chosen for higher studies like phd . My plan is definitely going to cooperate industry for data analyst role

Campus placements are offered but I am still in my first year so I have no idea. Students usually go for higher studies (PhD) after master's. Clearing entrances becomes a task. They d offer campus placements it's not that intense as it should be.

Placements occur in two phases first in 3rd semester for Phase 1 and then Phase 2 in 4th semester. Percentage of people placed is low but the package and companies they got is excellent. The packages offered from 7.5 LPA to as high as 26 LPA. A lot of big companies visit the campus.
