Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The ISI Delhi Stat-Math Unit organizes for the numerous post-doctoral research by providing them resources. The entrance process is dedicated to recruiting students whose area of interest match or closely complement those of faculty members.

Placement Experience

4

There is no direct form of placement assistance provided by the institute. Though the course itself makes you capable enough to secure a job on your own. Many good companies involved with the research work recruit people for various analyst profiles.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My annual fee is around 20k which was pretty feasible. I was done with the course with a mere 40k. Even apart form the institute is pretty budget-friendly. Accommodation facilities are also available at pretty affordable prices.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is pretty strong in our college. Many of our seniors are doing research work in varying capacities with different organisations. They are invited in order to deliver guest lectures on their personal work and update us as per market needs.

Admission

I appeared for an entrance exam which was organized by the institute themselves. The entrance exam was basic but I was nervous about the interview. My interview lasted for almost half an hour and then I was finally granted admission.

Faculty

5

The panel of faculty members was very qualified. They all were Ph. D. holders in their respective fields of specialization. Apart from having a plethora of experience, they all were involved in an ample amount of research work. We partially or thoroughly assisted them in their work.

Internships are offered after sem 1. And placement scenario is good, with good packages. Big companies like JP MORGAN, HCL, FIITJEE, GOOGLE, TCS, IPAC, etc. highest package for our course was 37 lakhs/ annum. And minimum was 11 lakh. More than 80% gets placed. My plan is to pursue PhD

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum is not that light, it requires to be taken seriously throughout. Had done BSc in mathematics so automatically reflex was to pursue a master's in the same subject, that's why opted for it in the first place. But later realized we can do a lot more things with the same course apart from carrying on a Ph.D.

Remarks:

No one can get bored here. Academics are top class. Apart from studies, sports facilities are at their best as well. From indoor to outdoor activities, you are never going to have any complaints regarding these.

Remarks:

Overall the university is good as it's central university and said so the fee is also bearable for financially deprived students. Faculty is good who teach you about subject with focus. The infrastructure is pretty good like ghalib park , tagore auditorium, art gallery etc. One of the biggest library is in jamia.
