BIT Mesra Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The admission was based on the rank obtained in the JEE Mains exam. BIT has good placement record especially it's computer science branch. Thus, placement record played a major role in the final decision. apart from that infrastructure and lab facilities are also of very good quality. All this was the reason for choosing this institute

Many top companies come to the college such as Microsoft, etc. The placement offers are also pretty good. Though it is not that great for the core branches relatively (obviously). The overall record has been good over ther years.

My course curriculum is a bit hectic as its core branch and civil specifically although online mode has no any pressure of exams and attendence. There's plenty of professors in my branch and this year we had 50 students so it's 1:50 and almost all of them have a good grip of their subjects and when it comes to practicals that's pretty good as BIT is gfti so it's managed by Birla group which make its lab and other facilities better than nits near it's rank.We have 5 module in every subject and after completion of each module there,s a quiz and there's a endsem in online mode and in offline mode quiz happen almost per week but it's weightage is pretty less and in offline there's an mid sem and an endsem exam

The placement percentage for CS/IT is almost 90-100%. For ECE/EEE, it's around 85-90%. The remaining branches also have decent placement records. Students usually get placement in their 4th year but some students get PPO (pre placement offer) as well. The highest Domestic package of BIT MESRA is 49.76 Lakhs per annum INR and the Average Package of BIT MESRA is 11.76 Lakhs per annum INR. Almost all big companies come to BIT MESRA. Several tech giants like GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, AMAZON, FACEBOOK, FLIPKART, etc. Many core companies, as well as consulting companies, also come to our campus. Thus if you are skilled enough you will definitely get placed with a good package.

On the paper average package is about 9 lakh per annum but the thing is new hod of our department is not doing good and also few seniors have placed in consultancy job and if you want on campus job in the core of civil don't opt for bit, Mesra but things are changing as new students are getting more involved in the gate. Last year our seniors got rank 2 in the IES exam as there is not much pressure on academics in this department. But it,cse and ece have good placements in 2020 too 50 lakh was highest CTC and average package is 11 lakh. Biotech has low placements apart from that more than 75% of students are placed mostly in consultancy firms and its companies. There's not much opportunity in core companies as l&t also comes but 10 - 20 students get placed there. Also, there's a good environment for gate,iea and UPSC.

Campus placements are very good in my college. From the 7th semester, you will be applicable for campus placements. The companies visited in our college Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte and many more and the package given by them 20 to 50 LPA. The highest package of our college is 52 LPA by Microsoft. At last, all students are placed. My plan after my degree is to qualify GATE exam and be selected in PSUs.

Now coming to the most important part of college for some people. You will hear about 7 LPA average package, 21 LPA packages, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs and whatever big MNC you have heard off. But mind you, max of the good companies are for CSE and IT. Some for ECE. You leave them aside, the placement scene is pretty dull and chimeric for other branches. Average package comes down to 4 LPA. In branches like mechanical and chemical only about 50% max students were placed. So if you do not belong to the so-called “Star” branches, have reality in your head and work hard according to your goals. Overall It is a good college. You will often feel that 10 Lacs and 2 years of JEE prep was not worth this college. Someway it’s right. Aim for IITs , IIITs and top NITs rather. But if you do not get better college, then come here, work hard, make friends, do the things you are passionate about, find your calling, make memories and the last day tear will say it all.

After the 6th-semester students are eligible for campus placements. And for internships, students are eligible after the 4th semester. Many companies such as Microsoft, Flipkart, Oyo, Goldmann Sachs, Deliotte etc. comes for recruitment. The percentage of students getting placed is also very high. More than 50% of students get placed. My plan after completing a degree as for now is to get a job.

Campus placements are very good for circuital branches CSE, IT, ECE, EEE but not so good for non- circuital. From CSE and IT around, 90-95% of students get placed and for ECE and EEE around 70-80 %. For non-circuital it's around 40-50%.

As I have mentioned earlier, placements for Btech are downright amazing. The average CTC given to the students was around 11LPA. Companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Indian Oil, Maruti Suzuki, Goldman Sachs, ZS Associates are some big names that actively recruit students from our college.
