BIT MESRA - the underrated gem

I took admission to BIT MESRA via JOSAA counselling after cracking my JEE Main exam successfully. The admission for BE programs is totally merit based. I am very happy with my decision of joining this prestigious institute.

My course is very interesting and it provides lots of opportunities. Several core companies come (for electrical as well as electronics). Moreover, almost all IT companies allow EEE and ECE students to sit for their interviews and if you are skilled enough then you can easily grab a great package. Placement is amazing in the circuital branches of BIT MESRA. Research culture also prevails here. Faculties are awesome, highly skilled and cooperative. Their knowledge is really appreciable. But yeah, few teachers are strict as well.

Many companies offered paid internships to their students. Some also got PPOs from them. Internships give an amazing opportunity to students for learning, getting exposure and getting experience. It makes them prepared for their future ventures and upcoming challenges.

The placement percentage for CS/IT is almost 90-100%. For ECE/EEE, it's around 85-90%. The remaining branches also have decent placement records. Students usually get placement in their 4th year but some students get PPO (pre placement offer) as well. The highest Domestic package of BIT MESRA is 49.76 Lakhs per annum INR and the Average Package of BIT MESRA is 11.76 Lakhs per annum INR. Almost all big companies come to BIT MESRA. Several tech giants like GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, AMAZON, FACEBOOK, FLIPKART, etc. Many core companies, as well as consulting companies, also come to our campus. Thus if you are skilled enough you will definitely get placed with a good package.

The fee is around 1.34 Lakhs per semester. But yeah several scholarships are also available like merit based, need to be based, etc. But every penny being spent is worth it as BIT would give you amazing exposure, excellent internship as well as placement opportunities. The campus is also very clean, beautiful and hygienic.

BITOTSAV is the biggest fest of BIT MESRA. There are also many other technical and cultural fests. The library is gigantic with almost all the important books being present. It provides a very peaceful environment to study and discuss with fellow mates. The classrooms are spacious and clean. BIT also has a big auditorium. Sports facilities are amazing; plenty of sports events happen in BIT throughout the year. Large grounds, big gymnasium, courts etc are present. There are tons of clubs in BIT MESRA like the Dancing club, music club(Dhwani), sports club, literary club, coding club, DSC club, LEO, Rotract, EDC club for entrepreneurs, SIME, etc are present.
