The accommodation facilities are available across/around the university. University accommodation options: Single room, Ensuite and Common kitchen - Starting from 500 GBP per month. Off-Campus Options: Housing contracts, Single and Double rooms - Starting from 450 GBP + Bills. Deposits are to be paid as per the agent policy.
Firstly! I applied for admission considering the specialized program and location of the University. I got admission without any delay. Alongside the University offered an early deposit tuition fee discount. I have wasted no time and paid my initial deposit. I proceeded further to the next steps, every step was smooth, to be honest. My overall experience at the university so far has been somewhat elevated compared to my previous experiences in the UG. I have chosen to apply to this university for different reasons. Firstly the advanced learning, depth of research techniques and industry-oriented training. The knowledge and skills needed to pursue a successful career are the main factor in this process. I could share more thoughts on my experiences when I am graduating next year.

We will get accommodation easily and coming to rent, the rent is 300 pounds including bills but in some accommodations not included bills we need to pay electric, gas, and water bills as well and also we need to pay for accommodation.
I searched about this university online before joining the university, and most people gave positive feedback about Hertfordshire University and that my course has a good scope in this university. So, that's why I chose this university. My overall experience is good.

- It was close to London this an optimal location for me to get the whole UK experience. Also, it had the program that I wanted, Civil Engineering. null
- it’s diverse. It allows anyone to be a part of the university regardless of their background or skin colour. The university is also welcoming which is a positive because coming from abroad to a new country it’s always important to be received warmly as it will make you more comfortable. null
Dislikes:
- It is not as active when it comes to social life. Most people are always in their rooms and there isn’t enough events to force people outside of their rooms to socialise. This is unfortunate for international students who will be coming into a new country without any friends. null

The accommodation rooms were good. I lived in a studio which was large enough for all of my possessions and had extra space as well. Whenever there was something that needed to be fixed the staff on campus would fix it within a day. The average rent was £600 per month
It was very enlightening and gave me a chance to grow. Coming from a 3rd world country to a 1st world country is not easy but fortunately I got comfortable as time went on. I can look back and say I enjoyed my university experience as it has made me the person I am today which I am proud of.

- The academic support and the facilities provided. University of Hertfordshire designed the modules so well in order to learn the subject easily. My elder was a pass out so I was sure about my decision. null

- Astrophysics is a course carried out very well at the university of Hertfordshire. Since this university has a private observatory, it allows students to engage practically and gain a vast amount of hands-on experience in understanding several concepts such as telescopes and the mechanics behind it, further in theory as well. null
- In my opinion, Astrophysics is a course carried out very well at the university of Hertfordshire. - I believe this university offers great resources for study since in the past 2 years of my degree, I have enjoyed conversing with my lecturers and always been satisfied with the support given. This university was the perfect fit for me as with a widespread campus, it also provided me with the exposure I needed to perceive astronomy in a different way. For me, the greatest and most supportive asset is Bayfordbury Observatory which has allowed me to increase my grip with multiple concepts that could have been difficult to grasp without practical support. null
- Along with receiving the correct support, this university is the perfect place to relax and spend time with friends. The campus extends on a vast area of land. Students are provided with a huge library full of resources and cafes, pubs on campus for a fun time, a canteen, subway and Starbucks for a quick lunch, active societies to engage and build your network, and the most convenient transportation with three bus stations on campus! .
- The greatest part is, this university has 2 campuses to explore, one focusing on courses such as Science, IT, media, and art, the other having courses such as, law, business, accounting and finance. There are over 550 courses to choose from at the university of Hertfordshire! .
Dislikes:
- In my opinion, this university has greater advantages than disadvantages. However, a point of improvement can be making the semesters slightly longer than they currently are. Students are provided with the correct support however having semesters which extend a maximum of 2.5 months makes it a little challenging to revise and grasp new concepts before exams. null
- For students who prefer to study before exams, it becomes difficult to master all content. So you must make sure you are up to date with all the topics introduced in classes and keep track with any deadlines for assignments. However, it becomes an advantage as students are then well focused on their studies rather than leaving it pending. null
- The campus can be introduced with a few more options for vegetarian food. There is plenty on campus however the options may feel limited sometimes. To prevent that, in Hatfield town where the university is located, there are many cuisines and restaurants to order from so you won't stay hungry! .

There are multiple options to choose from: Single en suite Twin en suite Townhouse Single Enhanced en suite Studio en suite The rent ranges from, on an average, £130-£240 p/w for 50 weeks contract.
Throughout the 2 years of my degree, I have actively participated in society events, being a member of the Indian Society. In my second year, I was given an opportunity to host a festive event on campus which was one of the greatest experiences, working with the team. Along with organising events, I have attended several exhibitions aiming to grow the society and facilitate students. Moreover, working as a helping-hand through all events hosted by the Society, I appreciated the benefit of growing as a team. Being present allowed me to grow my skillsets and expand my network across the university. In addition, in my second year I became the student representative of my course which added to my responsibilities. I had the opportunity to connect with students I normally would not engaged with, as having different modules. It has always been a pleasure to me to notice and improve situations for students that may be struggling to report their queries. As a student representative, my role was to acknowledge and address all challenges students from the course faced in order to improve the circumstances for the coming year. Fortunately having the exposure to work and engage in several university activities, I believe I would be suitable for this role and bring the relevant changes required, with the team. I believe my experiences at the university of Hertfordshire have provided the strength to increase my socialising, networking, and presentation skills.

- It was close to London and I wanted to be able to visit London once in a while, also I love creating stuff thus why I was intrigued by civil engineering. null
- It is diverse and offers opportunity to everyone regardless of their background. 60% are international students which was good for me as I was an international student from Zimbabwe who needed a chance to prove what I am capable of. null
Dislikes:
- The peer pressure. It can really only affect you if you let it, but it is hard to resist. With people having different backgrounds, you might see yourself comparing yourself to everyone and what they have which you don't. It is not a good place to be in. null
Hostel
The accommodation rooms were comfortable and I enjoyed staying with them. the first year I was in the cheapest accommodation going for 520pounds per month. It had a double bed and I shared 3 toilets with 5 other flat mates.
It was very mind opening as I was experiencing a new culture with new people away from the people I grew up with. I enjoyed most of it but obviously got homesick most times and missed home and the food I was used. However, the university was very welcoming to international students so they made it easier fort us to be able to be integrated into the society.

Had the oldest computer science department in UK, with some great faculty teaching us, with relevant expertise.

Off-campus accommodation is cheap but making lots of friends on campus helps.
I chose the college for its modules, professors, and placement year.
