Course Curriculum

8

  • The exams, test and assignments will be tough to pass, the positives are the faculty makes it easy to understand
  • Negative is the course is not interesting enough not giving much knowledge.

Admission Experience

  • University of Hertfordshire - got admitted in the first try and admission process is simple and easy
  • Northumbria University - got admit in first try
  • Manchester metropolitan university - rejected because my agent didn’t applied with correct documents, they mixed up the documents and applied for it, so they rejected it.
  • University of Essex- got admit
  • The university is near to London, first step is to upload your documents, I given my 12th class English for English language proficiency it needs to be above 75% , If you admit you need to pay 5000 gbp as deposit then you can schedule CAS interview you need to pass in it then you’ll get CAS letter and you can apply for visa, once you get visa you can book your flight tickets and there will be a period mentioned in the visa you need to travel in that period
  • I applied for September intake , because it is big intake and there will be lot of people and connections, December are nearby so there will be holidays , I applied in April got admit in 2 days, I took my time to accept after 1 month I paid deposit of 5000 gbp in June and I took time for CAS interview almost 3 weeks I have given my cas in July and applied for visa in August got my visa and book flight for 10th September

Class Schedule

8

  • In a day max there will be 3 classes, minimum is one.
  • For my course in first semester there will be classes for 5 days in a week , 3 days are online and 2 days are offline.
  • Average student per class >100, 90% of the students are Indians

Faculty

8

  • The faculty to student ratio is high you don’t get a chance to mingle with the professor, he’s not gonna remember your face or name, The teaching methodology is just explaining the ppt or play a video
  • No one of my friends got any part time assistance since they are hard to find because of soo many people, but there is dedicated team for the part time or full time assistance they are very friendly and they’ll help you.
  • None of my faculty members that I admire, we don’t get to spend much time with them

Campus Life

6

  • My university has 2 campuses one is college lane and other is de Havilland campus, both are massive campuses there will be soo many buildings.
  • Both campuses have dedicated library, sport facilities, medical services, restaurants, stores and major events are freshers events and lot of Indian clubs, lot of sports events , there are different sports events.

Part Time Jobs

  • Most of the students don’t get Teaching assistant, Research Assistant or department Assistant, because most of them are not open for students even if they are open they’ll only 1 or 2, I don’t about the pay rates for those roles , the maximum hours of work allowed for students is 20 per week in term time and in vacation 40 hrs is allowed.
  • There are on campus jobs available for students in restaurants other than that there no much on campus jobs, It is difficult to get a on campus job since there are many students applying for them and the roles are less.
  • Most of Indian students prefer working near to their accommodation, because after a hectic day they can go easy and get rest.
  • The basic pay for now is 11.44 per hour, It is very difficult to get a part time job since there are many students looking for them and most of the jobs are filled based on references and without connections it is very difficult to get a part time job.
  • The usual process to apply for a part time job is asking people for references, by indeed, or by going to every place and dropping a cv there.

Placement

6

  • For international it is very difficult to get a full time job, if you have good communication skills and technical skills you’ll get a full time job.
  • The usual way to find full time jobs is by LinkedIn, indeed and any other platforms, you get jobs by referrals.
  • I’m still in my first year so I didn’t experience the placement year yet, Even my batchmates are first year we didn’t experience any.

Accommodation

Off Campus
8

  • To find my first accommodation I texted to people in what’s app groups got scammed once, then I found one genuine person and found accommodation they are charging way more than the actual room cost, then after few months me and my friends went to real estate agents and took a flat for ours and we are living in it right now, initially the accommodation are hard to find.
  • My recommendation is to stay in University accommodation for one year or stay in Hatfield, my accommodation is 1hr away from college in bus, there are bus facility near to me

Exams

  • For me I didn’t given any exams , I got admit based on my 12th class English marks and my Bachelors marks, you need to provide 2 LOR, SOP and cv along with your educational documents from 10th to all semester transcript from your bachelors, there is a CAS interview
  • The interview based on our personal information and about the university, you need to pass in it, then only you’ll get your CAS, CAS is must for VISA

Fees

  • The full fee for me is 18950 gbp included for placement year, in that I got 2000 gbp as discount(scholarship) so I need to pay 16950 in this fee 5000 gbp is already paid before CAS so we need to pay 11950.
  • If you pay fully at once you’ll get 1000 gbp as discount so you’ll be paying 10950, or you can in 2 times which are 65% in once and 100% after 5 months.
  • If you live in Luton with 500 gbp you can pass a month and if you live in Hatfield it will be 700 - 800 gbp

Scholarship

  • Yes there is early bird scholarship and multiple other scholarships these are actually discounts which range from 1000 - 2000 gbp.
  • None of my batch mates got any actual scholarship or financial aids, we applied for financial aids but didn’t got any.
  • Most of the students didn’t receive any kinds of scholarships since it is not based on semester wise fee payment, you have to pay the in full or at least 65%
