- Unequal distribution of credits for units
Campus Life
- I believe there are close to 12 campuses in my university. All the campuses are in my university. Uni of Bath is not a city uni, meaning all campuses are just metres apart.
- My Uni has a library building. It is multi-storied and has separate reading areas. Sports facilities are the best in the country. There in university medical centre in the university that is operated by NHS and is there only for students and staff.
- There are many events that take place in our university and accommodations. This includes Diwali, prom night, Halloween, many dramas and various sports events.
- We have SU (students union). SU has many societies in them like Indian Bollywood society, dance society, environment society, DJ society and photography society. All these societies conduct their own events as well.
Fees
-
The fee was 26400 pounds. They were broken down in 3 parts. 1000 to get the unconditional offer letter. 12200 on Sept 23. The rest had to be paid during February. However, they were pretty accommodating and provided various payment terms. The payment was semester wise.
-
Monthly expense - 1100 (everything included)
800 - rent
70 - transportation
230 - Food and misc.

Likes
- The campus was beautiful and scenic.
- I was supported by the professors and academic representatives at every step of the way.
- Achieved an incredible opportunity to work with companies like Lloyds Bank.
Dislikes
- There was lesser exposure than I expected in terms of cultural experience
- Bath is an expensive city which put a strain on my student budget
- Even Though the campus was scenic, it was at least a 30 minute bus ride from the city center which made traveling a bit tiring
Campus Life
- The University of Bath has one main campus on Claverton Down, approximately a mile from Bath's city centre. It's a magnificent, self-contained campus perched atop a hill overlooking the city. The School of Management has a separate building which is newly developed. They have huge classrooms and a cafe overlooking the greenery.
- Our main campus offers outstanding facilities. The library is the main center, with an extensive collection of books, journals, and online resources. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the academic year, making it ideal for late-night studying.
- We have excellent sporting facilities, including a £35 million Sports Training Village. It has a gym, swimming pool, athletic track, tennis courts, and several indoor sports halls. Many Olympians have trained here.
- There is a medical center on campus that provides healthcare services to students. We also have several cafes and eateries, as well as a student union building with its own bar and entertainment area.
- Major campus activities include the Summer Ball, held at the end of the academic year. It's a large party featuring live music, food, and entertainment.
- We also have Freshers Week at the beginning of the year, which is jam-packed with activities to welcome new students.
- There are a variety of extracurricular activities offered. The Students' Union operates approximately 100 societies that cater to a wide range of interests, including intellectual, cultural, creative, and social groups.
Fees
- The tuition fees for the University of Bath's MSc Marketing program for international students was £25,000 during my stay. I managed to use this to offset my studies’ academic side. The cost is not inclusive of any accommodations or living expenses. Several accommodation facilities exist in the university but as the costs tend to differ, it is advisable to visit their site for the current rates.
- They have a reasonable flexible fee structure which is more advantageous to students. In order to secure our place and to indicate that we were committed to going, a non-refundable deposit for my course had to be paid. However, at a later date, this deposit was deducted from our total tuition fees.
- We were given the options for the payment of the remaining tuition: Pay in full or Split the amount into two equal parts and pay after a certain period.
- In terms of monthly expenditure, I don’t think that I will be able to provide an accurate indication of my own spending due to the fact that differences in student lifestyle and choices greatly affect expenditure. You may also visit the official website of the university regarding the current or approximate expenses of living in Bath.

Likes
- A robust curriculum that combines theoretical insights with practical applications.
- The multi-project suite that enables the students to work with real clients as part of the academic assessments.
- The professors are really approachable and knowledgeable which makes the classroom discussions worthwhile.
Dislikes
- The University is located at the top of the hill which is a bit far from the city centre considering the most viable mode of transport is the Bus which runs at regular intervals except on holidays.
- For a student living on campus, it becomes a bit boring on the weekends since you are secluded from the things and events happening in the city centre.
- The accommodations on campus are very expensive compared to any other student accommodation but it does provide amenities.
Overview
- I applied to over 20 business schools in the UK.
- The universities I got rejections from are as follows: University of Leeds, Aston Business School, Kingston University, University of Stirling, University of Liverpool, University of Glasgow. The rejection was mainly due to a lack of business or managerial experience in my CV. These universities mainly look for 3-5 years of managerial experience. I had roughly 4 years of experience (includes lead experience but not managerial).
- I applied to these universities apart from the above: University of Bath, Lancaster University Management School, University of Strathclyde, Durham University, University of Birmingham, University of Sheffield, University of Nottingham, Loughborough University, Cardiff University, University of Surrey, Brunel Business school, Queen's University Belfast, Birmingham City University, Buckinghamshire New University, University of westminister, Hult business school, University of East Anglia, Bangor University, University of Sussex.
- While most of the universities did not reply, I got offer letters from the following: University of Surrey, Brunel Business school, Lancaster University, Queen's University Belfast, University of Bath, Bangor University, Hult business school.
- Here are the factors I considered while choosing Bath over others: QS ranking of the university, proximity to major cities like London, university reputation, extra-curricular activities, scholarship, no hard need to write GMAT, career prospects, multi-project suite and reviews from alumni.
- Once applied and waited for 10 days, I got an email for the first round of interviews which was more of a culture fit interview, explaining my professional experience and intention to do an MBA. After a week I got selected for the second round which was with the career head, where they will assess if MBA is the right way and how they can help us achieve it. Got the conditional letter after two weeks or so. There was a video submission done to apply for a scholarship (optional).
- If the candidate's professional experience suffices, they do not ask for a GMAT but an IELTS score of 7 or above is a must. It was very smooth and probably one of the fastest ones comparing to other universities.
- September 2023 intake was the one I planned for. In the UK, there are generally 2 intakes: September and January, only 5-10% of all universities have Jan intake which is a selected list of good colleges.
- I wanted to do an MBA to start my own business in the future. Due to rising competition in India, the best way for me to do this was through an international MBA. Overall, the timeline was spread out over 2 months. From the initial date of application, to the unconditional letter.
Campus Life
- One campus, we have a separate building for School of Management. All facilities are available from on-campus medical assistance, library, student accommodation centre, cafe, supermarket to sports centre.
- The Bath Freshers' week is a bug celebration, along with Summer ball and multiple events happen on a regular basis. They are primarily targeted at the undergrads so MBA students would not go to much. We had entrepreneurship clubs, seminars, talks, webinars, networking events and a lot that were better suited for us.
- Bath has the second-best sports club in UK with a big sports centre called the STV (Sports Training Village). A world class athletics track, gym, tennis courts and much more. Bath also has a good number of student clubs for all activities, culture and others.

Overview
I chose this university based on its ranking in my field and based on how they had advertised their teaching and course curriculum. Overall, the experience has been decent with respect to academics, but not that great when it comes to marking for exams/ assignments.
Campus Life
Campus life is fun. We have some, or other events going on that take care of student engagement and involvement. Sports facilities are all excellent but paid for separately, not included in tuition fees. The library is also well-updated and huge enough to accommodate a lot of students. The cafes on campus are decent too.

Overview
The ranking of the university, the reviews from previous students, and the career prospects made me choose this university and the particular program. The overall experience of my study time at the University of Bath was top notch. Ever since the first day, my professors laid down a clear path of study and how the curriculum would progress. There were several social events to make friends at, which made it easy to make friends. The university hosted frequent career events to interact with recruiters, build connections and get to know more about the jobs. The university allowed us to choose the subjects and modules we wanted based on our interests and we were well informed about each module. We also had the option to choose a practice track to gain real world knowledge by working with companies.
Campus Life
The university has its separate library building and super fast WiFi is available throughout the campus and in accommodations. There are all kinds of sports available with societies to help you learn the game and play with others as well. There are all sorts of other societies like marketing and consulting societies and clubs to help you gain knowledge about them.

- Great reputation, one of the best ranking and good curriculum as per modules. Also beautiful city and infrastructure which attracted me.
- The infrastructure, the view, the environment, the students coordination, the sports facilities, the positive vibes, so much greenery and peace . In the winters the campus looks so beautiful especially if you go at early mornings, campus covered with fog and those cold breeze with little sunshine too, that was amazing.
Dislikes
- Honestly , I would say nothing like that. That was all a new experience for me to go and study abroad, everything was new and exciting for me. I think I will say , that there were so many great and beautiful things, which I didn't wanted to leave and now I miss them, this is the only dislike I can think of.
Overview
The overall experience was great and it really developed me a lot, in terms of way of thinking, positive mindset and how to create a good work culture and environment. The course gave me a lot of learning and some very good and big projects including team work and individual aspects of striking them. There were some challenges and problems too, but with the support of faculties and a good environment, I tackled everything and successfully completed everything with so much of excitement and experience.
Campus Life
The campus life is amazing with beautiful environment and view. The atmosphere is friendly and charming with so much of great infrastructure. There are so many food and canteen outlets in campus with everything you want to eat and grab for your day. The research facilities are also top notch with so many advance technologies and systems. The study rooms are well built and clean with proper seating arrangements. For sports fans, you will find everything related to every sport, with football grounds, running track , gyms, basketball court, tennis and major indoor games too. The sports section is another loving perk of living there. You will find WIFI everywhere with good speed. The library is also well built with so much of books and almost every course related information.

Campus life is great. Plenty of clubs and activities. Infrastructure is great as well. Everything a great university needs, its there. Great sports facilities - best in the UK. Also nominated as best sports university in the UK. Plenty of opportunities to better yourself as a person. City has tons of activities as well - one of the safest in the UK. Quite a small city and public transport is cheap and convenient.
Overview
University of Bath is one of the best university in UK for Data Science with good ranking. The curriculum provided by the university is really good which covers almost every topic in data science. The deep learning and reinforcement learning modules would be very helpful and not included in most of the other universities. The course had 2years of course including placement which I thought would be beneficial for getting job in new country.
Campus Life
Campus life is excellent in university. There are lots of extracurricular activities happening inside the campus throughout the year. There are gym, fitness center, a big swimming pool, badminton court, etc. The university also provides lot's of part time job opportunities for students in campus. There is a big library with 5 floors and you can study whole day in it. Faculties also provide research opportunities in campus as part time job.
Overview
I wished to study abroad and previously I visited this university once so I wished to study here.
Campus Life
I have not experienced my campus life till now but there are various clubs and associations including sports club and India association.
Overview
The course modules were really interesting to me, especially since I had done similar subjects in my under graduation. With relevant topics in todays day and age , it was a step up from what I had learned and how I have to apply it in my work life as I begin working in my family business and look for new opportunities as and how I take over the business. In a post-covid world having these techniques to think and look at opportunities in different ways will help stand out from the crowd.
