Dislikes
- Fees compared to other universities is very high, On campus placement companies are good but getting in their is a big struggle even after paying so much of fees, chinese professors are not good in explanation
Campus Life
- I am not such a social person, so I didn't join any groups, clubs or events; however, I surely participated in a few events like the Diwali celebration and PhD students delivering and gathering their views on certain research topics.
- I did joined Swimming in the sports centre at Lancaster University. I enjoyed learning swimming very much; my coach was a very patient and calm person.
Fees
- Tuition fees were £31500, and the Scholarship - £5000, so the final payment was £26500. Accommodation fees are £198 per week of living in the university campus. Initially it was a half-yearly payment.
- After consulting with the finance team, It was divided into 4 instalments of both tuition and accommodation fees. Monthly expense per month excluding rent is of food and travel - £300 per week, entertainment and shopping - £100

- Oldest Chemistry Department in England and hence consists of faculty who are pioneers in their respective field or are contributing to world leading research.
- The Royal Society of Chemistry accredits most of the courses offered by the Department of Chemistry which gives the students opportunity to attend seminars and connect to researchers who are members of the RSC and are conducting cutting edge research.
- The courses offered by the Department of Chemistry is highly research oriented which enables the students to learn by conducting critical analysis of the literature and by designing novel experiments, compared to the conventional method of classroom based education.
Dislikes
- Location of classes can be quite far apart from each other which sometimes lead to confusion and/or reaching classes later than the assigned time.
- The number of students in a particular course is extremely small (due to the difficult admission process, to maintain the academic standard of the institution) which makes it harder for students to make friends or acquaintances.
- Some of the modules can be quite advanced for students hailing from India even if the term "advanced" is not mentioned in the course title and irrespective of the fact that they might have taken the respective course in their undergraduate. Only thorough studying of the course and dedicating extra effort is the possible solution to a situation like this as UCL is an institution with a top 10 ranking in the world and hence an academic journey here is obvious to be a bit challenging.
Campus Life
- Two campus: Bloomsbury and UCL east
- All necessary and extracurricular facilities are provided on each campus. We have dedicated libraries, study spots, cafes, theatre galleries, sports grounds, etc., available to the students of both campuses.
- All the campus festivals are celebrated majorly here. The freshers week has numerous festivals and welcome events: one such event was a boat party for the new students on the River Thames. There is also an upcoming Winter Ball in the month of December.
- The student committee under the Department of Chemistry is called the Chemical and Physical Society, which is the oldest student society in England.
- Additionally, there are over 100 clubs and societies, such as the Bollywood Society, Rowing Society, Bangla Society, and Baseball Society, who have their independent events for their members. Generally, master's students run on a very tight weekly schedule and hence are less likely to regularly take part in the events or meetings of these societies.
Fees
- The full tuition fee for my course at UCL is 37,500 pounds. I did not opt for hostel or university accommodation; hence, I am not aware of the costs regarding that.
- Students at UCL are supposed to pay the fee semester-wise. We are required to pay the first installment, which is one-third of the total tuition fee, by the first month of classes.
- My rent is 650 pounds and I pay about 100 pounds for commuting. Including food and miscellaneous expenditures, my total monthly expense is approximately 850 pounds.

Dislikes
- It’s not in India
- Expensive - the fees is more than 35000 pounds.
- Time period is less - the course is only of 9 months
Campus Life
- There are three campuses; the main campus is in central London near Euston Square Station and the other two are newly constructed in Zone 2. One in Stratford and another one in Canary Wharf.
- There are a lot of facilities, such as dancing, singing, games, skiing, games, and a makeup learning club.
- The main event is the Christmas fair and I’m still discovering.
- The list of all the clubs is mentioned on the student union website.
Fees
- The fees are 34,400 pounds paid in each semester, which means we are required to pay fees in three instalments.
- The first 2000 pounds are paid to secure the admission.
- After admission, the first installment is paid in October beginning or September end.
- The second installment is paid in February.
- The third in April-May.
- The estimate of monthly expenses is around 1000 pounds, which includes living and food expenses.
- The total is around 60 lakhs, including everything.

- It's expensive to live in UK or especially in London,so you might focus more on jobs rather than studying.
Campus Life
- My university has 3 campuses. One is main one in central London and I'm in the east campus which is new.
- There are many clubs and societies which you can join and have fun throughout your course.
- Yes, many extracurricular activity are arranged in the university very frequently. You just need to keep an eye on everything that's happening around you.
Fees
- My course is for 34,400 pounds. It is to be paid in 3 installments.
- I did not go for university accomodations and selected private accomodations. I had few friends already in London to help me with accomodation. So my rent is about 700 GBP per month for single room near my university.
- Monthly expenses apart from rent can go up to 250 - 300 GBP including extra bills , grocery and other stuff.
