University College London (UCL) has reported a sharp rise in Indian student enrolments for 2025–26, with undergraduate numbers climbing 19% and postgraduate admissions up 26%. Calling India one of its most important global partners, UCL President Michael Spence confirmed that the university is expanding scholarships, outreach programmes and joint research — instead of building a physical campus in India. Through collaborations with IIT Delhi, AIIMS, IISc and IIT Bombay, UCL is deepening work across health, climate, engineering and frontier technologies such as quantum science, ensuring benefits for students, researchers and society in both nations.
