Course Curriculum
- Studying my MSc at Lancaster has been a mix of challenge and excitement. Diverse classmates make discussions lively, and classes blend theory with real-world projects.
- Workload was very high at deadlines, but support is great. We needed to submit our coursework on time or else marks were deducted. Large class sizes, including Chinese and other Asian students and 25 fellow Indian students, were part of my class.
Admission Experience
- I applied to more than 10 universities in countries like Germany, the USA, France, Montpellier and many of the universities in the UK. I was selected in most of the universities; however, I wanted to go for that particular university, which can help me in gaining STEM courses with professional certification; hence, I finally selected Lancaster University. I might not be chosen at another university due to their course, which did not align with my goal.
- Admission criteria was normal as other colleges; a minimum of 60% is required. Scholarships are given based on marks in your undergraduate degree. I chose this university because it is giving me 11 papers exemption in CIMA and 7 papers exemption in ACCA certification. I paid application fees of £40. Then did the online application, attaching all the scanned copies of the documents. After a few days I received an admission letter, with a specified date to pay fees of £2000 as a deposit for seat booking confirmation. After paying £2000 in fees, which is deductible from my final fees, I received a CAS letter, based on which I applied for a loan and visa.
- Lancaster University has one intake only for Master's students – it is September 2025. Application results were displayed in one month; after that, all the processes started, from paying deposits within 1.5 months after that to obtaining the CAS certificate. Detailed July mid was timeline for payment of deposit for seat confirmation, end of August was was deadline for CAS to apply for a visa.

- Students prefer working initially on desk job only and they keep on finding till it is March or April of next year, whereby they realise they need to do any jobs available for survival. We mostly get jobs in Restaurant or malls. I prefer working in lancaster university because it's the safest place; decent people work there, and pay on time with full benefits.

- Most students find jobs through networking, the university’s careers service, LinkedIn, and internships that often convert to offers. In my batch, friends have joined firms like Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, Unilever, and Amazon, working in strategy, data analytics, and operations.
- The university’s strong industry links and alumni network make a real difference; it’s not just about applying online, it’s about having people who guide and recommend you along the way.

- I opted for on-campus accommodation because I got a job as a college community assistant at Grizedale college, Lancaster University. It is one of the conditions of this job that I shall stay on campus. My monthly rent was around £800 including all bills.
