I chose this university based on its ranking in my field and based on how they had advertised their teaching and course curriculum. Overall, the experience has been decent with respect to academics, but not that great when it comes to marking for exams/ assignments.

Course Curriculum

7

The course curriculum by itself was very interesting, but the teaching style of the professors made it quite boring to study or even attend lectures sometimes. Basically, they were just reading out of the PPT instead of teaching. And no, there was no industrial exposure for us.

Faculty

3

The student-to-faculty ratio was 1:7. Each student had an assigned faculty member and a student officer as well, who would help students with any problems that might occur during their term time. Some professors are approachable and helpful but some are not, if I were to be honest, personally I do not have any professor who has had an incredible impact on me.

Campus Life

7

Campus life is fun. We have some, or other events going on that take care of student engagement and involvement. Sports facilities are all excellent but paid for separately, not included in tuition fees. The library is also well-updated and huge enough to accommodate a lot of students. The cafes on campus are decent too.

Placement

5

All throughout the year, the university had 2 events related to careers, out of which not even one event had companies that recruit or hire for jobs related to my field.

Accommodation

Off Campus
5

Accommodation facilities are good. Every student gets a personal room for themselves so privacy is maintained. My accommodation cost was 162 GBP per week. Different accommodations have different price ranges depending on the type of room style you select.

Exams

- For my course, only IELTS. My score was a band of 7.5. - CGPA undergraduate: 8.84 HSC 12th: 70%; ICSE 10th: 83% - Requirements: Yes. I had submitted SoPs, 3 LoRs, and my CV, and there was no interview as such with the university. After submitting my application, I directly received a conditional offer letter, which was converted to unconditional after paying the deposit to block a seat at the university.

Fees

26,800 GBP
