University of Northampton Reviews
2 Reviews Found
Likes
- Location in the midlands, offering easy access to major cities
- Modern infrastructure & well-equipped classrooms
- Friendly and amicable professors
Dislikes
- Rankings and Reputation are low compared to other UK universities
- Placement and Employablity support did not meet expectations
- Acceptance of too many students from same nationality/country
Campus Life
- 2 campuses, Waterside campus being the main one. All modern, well-equipped libraries and top-notch sports (indoor and outdoor courts, discounted student membership fees) and medical facilities (GP inside campus).
- Being an overseas student having done the course during COVID times, I am not well aware of events/fests on campus. Campus had cultural days & food festivals weekly where students set up food stalls and sold their cultural cuisines
Likes
- I like the support regarding CV, mock interviews, and personality/confidence development workshops. All of this helped me in securing the information.
Dislikes
- Some lecturers are too focused on theory instead of imparting practical knowledge (but this is only true for some not all).
Overview
I did my Bachelors due to course contents being offered for Marketing and I thoroughly loved the structure and the faculty. Best faculty ever. For my Masters, I came back due to an Alumni scholarship worth 50% which allowed me to resume my studies. I liked that Masters in this university comes with a placement year and I feel a placement year has multiplied the value of my course 10 fold.
Campus Life
This university has a new campus built in 2018 so all the infrastructure is latest and well maintained. Uni offers loads of sports and societies for students to get engaged in outside of their studies. It also has on campus GP clinic for medical requirements.
