  • The curriculum was more about practical aspects. We had different subjects, and for most of the subjects, we had classes in labs.
  • It is an intense course and the professors are really helpful.
  • Positive aspect – job prospects
  • Negative aspect – nothing at all
  • Classes: 2 hour classes for each week for 1 subject
  • Number of students: 117 but they were divided into 2 batches. Indian students: More than 60

  • If i say about the difficulty level of my course i can scale it 7 out of 10 as it has some modules which were having machine learning and data mining . lectures were theoretical and practical both .
  • Most positive aspects were that business analytics are widely chosen and accepted degree right now in the market because of need of big data , negative were like it were having only 2 semester of 3 months each.
  • There were 3-4 classes usually in a day and timings were mostly 10am -5pm

Fees

  • My full course fee was 20k pounds and it was just for the tuition fee , i dint took any hostel and anything else.
  • It was semester wise fees and student can pay through bank and credit also . many student took loans .
  • My monthly expenses in birmingham were around 1k pounds including the rent travel and grocery and some clothes.
  • Mrocery can cost you upto 100

There are a lot of platforms to find accommodation but make sure you check the website and the broker is verified as a lot of students fall prey to the scamsters. Check Rightmove, Amberstudent and University Living which are trusted and verified.

  • The MSc Computer Science curriculum at Aston was moderately challenging and offered a balanced mix of theoretical and practical components.
  • Classes typically lasted 3 hours, with 1-2 sessions scheduled per day, usually in the morning or early afternoon. A highlight of my experience was the Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) course.

Fees

  • The tuition fee for my MSc program at Aston University was set at £19,750, with a flexible option to pay in three installments, corresponding to each semester.
  • My estimated monthly expenses, which cover essentials such as hostel accommodation, food, travel, internet, and mobile, amount to approximately £650, although this may vary depending on my spending patterns each month.

Yes, the course and the curriculum were perfectly managed. Many industry experts were brought into the guest lecture to guide us through the industry standards and the career map. The Professors are also very good with their knowledge and way of teaching, which made the course much easier and smoother.

The academics were very helpful and the standard of teaching is of high caliber. We had industrial demonstrations and many workshops. Each lecture was well planned, even the lecturers had to prepare the exam papers a month in advance and submit them to the board of examiners. The lecturers did not know whose papers they were grading. The grading was fair and just.

Fees

The fee is probably around £16000/yr.

The course syllabus is the most updated in AI, even though many new modules were added from last year's course, also depends on students' interest if you ask your, Lecturers, to include new topics, they are happy to include provided we have a basic understanding and interest in the topics. I have done some virtual internships from term 1 along with my studies which come on our careers portal. Doing some more work placements which are right now voluntary (not paid) due to the pandemic situation but it provides a good opportunity to work with people and start-ups in the industry.

Fees

GBP 21000 + additional for 10-month placement assistance where the university can provide an extended visa for 10 months.
