Course Curriculum

8

  • If i say about the difficulty level of my course i can scale it 7 out of 10 as it has some modules which were having machine learning and data mining . lectures were theoretical and practical both .
  • Most positive aspects were that business analytics are widely chosen and accepted degree right now in the market because of need of big data , negative were like it were having only 2 semester of 3 months each.
  • There were 3-4 classes usually in a day and timings were mostly 10am -5pm

Admission Experience

  • Admitted
  1. University of leeds
  2. Westminister university of london
  3. Coventry university london
  4. Coventry university coventry
  • These all were universities i was admitted to
  • I got rejection from Queens Mary University of london
  • University of birmingham didnt accepted me
  • I think they were asking for higher grades and also relevant work experience is also a plus point for other students
  • Aston business school has credentials which comes around 1% in the world , also i see there ranking in the uk and global rankings. so this make me decide to go in this university.
  • I applied online than they accepted my offer and then i reserved my seat by paying 2 lakhs .
  • no exam were required for admission.minimum score were 60% in graduation
  • my overall experience was good.
  • I choose 2022 jan intake as i have heard in uk its the most selected intakes for student so thats the only reason ., otherwise universities offer may , june and september intakes as well. but because jan intake were widely chosen i opted that only.
  • Overall admission process took 1-2 months including the application to cas letter issue , then all documentation verification everythinG.

Faculty

8

  • I dont think so teachers were assisting the students in getting the part time jobs.
  • In our class there were 120 students in jan intake 2022. mostly students were indian only like i can say over 80 were indians and under that also Mostly were south indians.
  • Faculty were i can say 1 for 40 students , but this did not affect the interaction as those students who were keen to ask were getting their replies.
  • Teaching were mostly in the projector in the form for slides , and asked to perform some tasks alongside of the lecture.

Campus Life

10

  • Our university has only one campus in uk which is in birmingham.
  • There were 2-3 big libraries , sports area indoor and outdoor both and full medical services were provided.
  • because there were students from many countries so there were groups made from the students who were arranging the festival activities.
  • There were clubs like indian-hub , bseen , amigos etc
  • I didn't participated in any extracurricular activities .

Part Time Jobs

  • Very less students were able to secure Teaching Assistant (TA), Research Assistant (RA), or Departmental Assistant (DA) positions as students were so many.
  • Average pay in birmingham was 9-10 pounds per hr.
  • No there were no other on-campus jobs available for students , students were doing outside the university only in cafe and restaurants.
  • Max working hr were 20
  • Most indian students i have seen were working in cafe and restaurants as waiter and they were earning upto 800-900 in part time.in jan intake it was difficult to find the part time jobs also.process was simple there were some websites and apps where students apply for the profile they want to work in. i advice to apply online only as no jobs will be there when you go directly.

Placement

8

  • There are plenty of full time jobs available in the market but everyone is asking for the skills not for the degree and thats the only reason that most of the student didnt land their dream job because they only keep applying rather than preparing for the interview and for skills .
  • Only 10% secures job within 6 months.average salary is 30-35k per annum

Accommodation

Off Campus
8

  • I was living in the off campus , we found it through the network only basically whatsapp groups were made before coming to uk so in that students united and suggested homes and rooms and made groups.
  • My university were in birmingham so my rent was 330 pounds per month on 30 mins drive from university , which were all included - electricity bills , water , gas , council etc.
  • In my case i didnt find any difficulty but i have seen some students were facing it as it was in jan overcrowded by the students so thats why.

Exams

  • For this i dont have much knowledge but i have not given any exams for entrance for other universities i dont know.
  • Specifically for my university i have submitted LOR , SOP and CV , previous job - OFFER LETTER , and my grades of bachelor's
  • For the interview part - some students were interviewed randomly but not all , a call from uk number were getting by the students

Fees

  • My full course fee was 20k pounds and it was just for the tuition fee , i dint took any hostel and anything else.
  • It was semester wise fees and student can pay through bank and credit also . many student took loans .
  • My monthly expenses in birmingham were around 1k pounds including the rent travel and grocery and some clothes.
  • Mrocery can cost you upto 100

Scholarship

  • No i didnt got any scholarship during the course . as all the scholarships were only given in the starting of the course .
  • Some of my batchmates got scholarships on the basis of their grades and some on the basis of their extra ordinary achievements from 2k to 5k pounds.
  • I am not properly sure but around 100 scholarships are given each year per course
