Aston Univeristy - The Reality of studying in UK

2 - university of birmingham and Aston , i got into both but my sister has studied at aston and she only recommended me to go there only as it is not very expensive and gives great scholarships to students, plus it has a good value. It's like if you do a 2-year mba in india Aston will cost the same fee, including stay and degree is for 1 year, so i would strongly recommend Admission process is quite simple: just apply to their website if you have 80+ in english in class 12 they won't ask you for IELTS and will send you the offer letter if you accept early, you get a 3000 pounds scholarship and if you have merit in class 12 then 3000 pounds more so a total of a 6000 pounds scholarship. Then you would give a cas interview before you go, which is again simple if you know basic english and yes, then you are ready to go. 2024 sept intake , i had to upskill myself and take global exposure and i wanted my degree in less time so yeah, it was my go-to option in that price range. admission process is quite smooth it was so quick and i would say if i had sept intake i accepted the offer in march 2024 . so i would say start your application in jan feb if you going for sept intake then lastest by march accept it and apply for visa and everything you will be all set...Read More

I applied online than they accepted my offer and then i reserved my seat by paying 2 lakhs . no exam were required for admission.minimum score were 60% in graduation my overall experience was good. I choose 2022 jan intake as i have heard in uk its the most selected intakes for student so thats the only reason ., otherwise universities offer may , june and september intakes as well. but because jan intake were widely chosen i opted that only. National University of Ireland – Waitlisted EDHEC BUSINESS SCHOOL – Accepted ESCP BUSINESS SCHOOL – Rejected (Not such strong profile) University of Birmingham Accepted Nottingham Trent University – Accepted I chose Aston because of the course that i wanted to do – Business Analytics. It is one of the highly demanded courses, and Business Analysts are going to be in every sector in the next 2-3 years. Aston ranks in the top 100 universities worldwide for MSC in Business Analytics in QS World Ranking (Business Analytics) and I also received a very good scholarship of £6000, which made my decision easier. Aston competes with Warwick business school here despite UOB being in the same city, because UOB just started this degree 2 years back but ASTON has been running this course for quite a long time now. In short, for the price you pay (comparing it with other unis, I think it's definitely worth it). My fees are way less than 20k GBP because of Scholarship and i am studying at one of the top-ranked universities for the subject that I want to specialise in. What more I could have wanted ???? After that, I had to prepare for my CAS interview, for which i even had a mock interview from Aston University. There was 1 lady who trained me twice and prepared me for the interview. I liked the course and the program in Artificial Intelligence as the course modules are better than many top-ranked colleges in the UK, and there are a lot of interactive lectures, and guest lectures from industry professionals on topics that are not covered in our teaching modules. So this covers most of the aspects of AI and also Aston University is in the city center of Birmingham, 2nd largest city in the UK, with lots of new opportunities developing around here, and some Big 4 companies and IT companies shifting to Birmingham....Read More
