- Amazing campus, student life, extra curricular activities
- Course structure was very good with lots of focus of practicals
- Professors were very helpful and would help with whenever you would need them.
Dislikes
- The main campus food court could be a bit cleaner
- Some might not like the town as it is a very peaceful place
- Excessive fire drills and at random times in the student accommodation
Campus Life
- There are two campuses of the University of Hertfordshire.
- The University of Hertfordshire has a library (LRC), sports complex, church, medical centre, student support hub, and nightclub.
- The campus had loads of activities and clubs. It has multiple societies that you can apply to. It has multiple sports events as well.
- I can't answer much honestly here as I decided to move back to India but mostly 90 percent of students get placements after university. Average pay is GBP 29,000 per year.
- Students are typically advised to attend job fairs both online and offline along with applying on Gradcracker.
- Highest and lowest salaries cannot be declared as most students don't wish to discuss their salaries.

- My university’s infrastructure and way of teaching is really good.
- They are very good at labs for technical study and racing simulators that are open for all to try with.
- The cleanliness and opportunities for all people gives a faith in unity in diversity.
Dislikes
- The main dislike is its location that is situated far from any city center which makes it difficult to have lunch and travel to stations even though they have a variety of food options in campus it feels like we couldn’t try anything new.
- The bus service that runs by our uni called uno is the worst service in the country with heavy delays and few buses.
Campus Life
- My university has 2 campuses which are in the same location. There is a bus running between them every 10-15 mins.My university has a library on both campuses and has a cafeteria.
- There are sports facilities like football, tennis , badminton, hockey and much more. There is an onsite gym facility along with snookers and much more indoor games.
Accommodation
-
I opted for off campus as there is no opportunity to work around the campus and the rents in campus are high. The monthly rents and bills will be around 500£ for off campus and 700£ for in campus so I would prefer and advise you to choose off campus accommodation. But if somebody is not looking for any jobs and they want the comfort to stay near campus then in campus housing will be a good choice.

- There are lot of events going on everyday so that you to mingle with people and know about them and have some fun.
- The campus is huge and lot of greenery and there will lot of benches to sit and study
- Forum has so many good options from desi to international most of the food are tasty and there are lot of space to sit and enjoy your meal
Dislikes
- We are master level students and they will still conduct hand written exams on paper
- Drinking water - There no drinking water facility except in forum, you have to buy a bottle from nearby store or you have bring your own bottle of water
- Parking spaces are paid
Campus Life
- My university has 2 campuses one is college lane and other is de Havilland campus, both are massive campuses there will be soo many buildings.
- Both campuses have dedicated library, sport facilities, medical services, restaurants, stores and major events are freshers events and lot of Indian clubs, lot of sports events , there are different sports events.
Accommodation
- To find my first accommodation I texted to people in what’s app groups got scammed once, then I found one genuine person and found accommodation they are charging way more than the actual room cost, then after few months me and my friends went to real estate agents and took a flat for ours and we are living in it right now, initially the accommodation are hard to find.
- My recommendation is to stay in University accommodation for one year or stay in Hatfield, my accommodation is 1hr away from college in bus, there are bus facility near to me

- The Infrastructure of the College which is very good as well as the destination or a place at where the University is.
- The staff of the University that is very well and giving you a good mentoring. Which is very much necessary.
- If there is any problem or problems arise between the students and teachers then we have a good student union which helps to resolve problems.
Dislikes
- Bus time management, as the display boards in the Bus Stations are usually displaying wrong timing for which people used to wait around an 1 hour, which is ridiculous.
- As they prefer more to go offline instead of Online, which is good but it is bad as well because there are so many students who come from far away in England.
- That’s all…
Campus Life
- As I am not a party guy nor a sport player but I do know that there are basically 2 Campus are there to whom I am familiar with, and both are in Hatfield. One is on College Lane and another is De Havilland.
- College Lane is most use for Science Students, for example, doc, engineer, arts and many more meanwhile, de Havilland for Business and Law. Both includes a big library section, CASE(Centre for Academic Skill Enhancement), a reception, sports ground, gym and many more.
Accommodation
- As per accommodation I am living with my father’s maternal Uncle’s son and his family here. So, I do not need to stay anywhere else, that’s true that my University is far from here around 1 hour 45 mins but it worth it.
- As in my rent I am paying for room as well as for the food as well my aunt prepares food for me. And in terms of rents, as a good relative they take less rent from me compared to others.

- High quality education, Research opportunities, Campus facilities - Highly equipped, Its Location
Dislikes
- Administrative delays, Some classes are large which makes it difficult to get personalized attention, Rigid and inflexible curriculum, Less food options.
Campus Life
Life on campus is active, and friendly, and offers lots of opportunities. The university has good facilities like learning resource centres, many activities outside of class, and focuses on both learning and research. This helps me to grow personally and professionally. The wide campus provides what students need to do well in their academics. To be honest the facilities are really comfortable and easy to understand and available across the campus.
Accommodation
The accommodation facilities are available across/around the university. University accommodation options: Single room, Ensuite and Common kitchen - Starting from 500 GBP per month. Off-Campus Options: Housing contracts, Single and Double rooms - Starting from 450 GBP + Bills. Deposits are to be paid as per the agent policy.

Definitely, I enjoyed a lot in the university with friends and interacting with new people, it gives new experiences. For my studies, I always go to the library and I spend there at least 5-6 hours per day.
Accommodation
We will get accommodation easily and coming to rent, the rent is 300 pounds including bills but in some accommodations not included bills we need to pay electric, gas, and water bills as well and also we need to pay for accommodation.

- It was close to London this an optimal location for me to get the whole UK experience. Also, it had the program that I wanted, Civil Engineering.
- it’s diverse. It allows anyone to be a part of the university regardless of their background or skin colour. The university is also welcoming which is a positive because coming from abroad to a new country it’s always important to be received warmly as it will make you more comfortable.
Dislikes
- It is not as active when it comes to social life. Most people are always in their rooms and there isn’t enough events to force people outside of their rooms to socialise. This is unfortunate for international students who will be coming into a new country without any friends.
Campus Life
Campus life is not as active as I hoped. Most people are usually in their rooms. Some events were planned but a few people showed up. The infrastructure is amazing though. The library was open 24/7 and the Wi-Fi was always working at full speed. There were playing grounds for football and basketball which were also well maintained as well.
Accommodation
The accommodation rooms were good. I lived in a studio which was large enough for all of my possessions and had extra space as well. Whenever there was something that needed to be fixed the staff on campus would fix it within a day. The average rent was £600 per month

- The academic support and the facilities provided. University of Hertfordshire designed the modules so well in order to learn the subject easily. My elder was a pass out so I was sure about my decision.
Campus Life
The campus and surroundings are extra ordinary. University is supporting a lot of extra curricular activities so much. There were many outlets in the campus itself. Since I'm from India, this was a new and exciting experience at first. Also, we will get different experiences by interacting with students in different countries which will also make us understanding different cultures and languages around the globe.
Accommodation
Got the University on campus accommodation for living. It's so nice. It's infrastructure and related support are good. Well arranged and organised rooms which having enough space and luxury with good privacy.

- Astrophysics is a course carried out very well at the university of Hertfordshire. Since this university has a private observatory, it allows students to engage practically and gain a vast amount of hands-on experience in understanding several concepts such as telescopes and the mechanics behind it, further in theory as well.
- In my opinion, Astrophysics is a course carried out very well at the university of Hertfordshire. Since this university has a private observatory, it allows students to engage practically and gain a vast amount of hands-on experience in understanding several concepts such as telescopes and the mechanics behind it, further in theory as well.
- I believe this university offers great resources for study since in the past 2 years of my degree, I have enjoyed conversing with my lecturers and always been satisfied with the support given. This university was the perfect fit for me as with a widespread campus, it also provided me with the exposure I needed to perceive astronomy in a different way. For me, the greatest and most supportive asset is Bayfordbury Observatory which has allowed me to increase my grip with multiple concepts that could have been difficult to grasp without practical support.
Dislikes
- In my opinion, this university has greater advantages than disadvantages. However, a point of improvement can be making the semesters slightly longer than they currently are. Students are provided with the correct support however having semesters which extend a maximum of 2.5 months makes it a little challenging to revise and grasp new concepts before exams.
- For students who prefer to study before exams, it becomes difficult to master all content. So you must make sure you are up to date with all the topics introduced in classes and keep track with any deadlines for assignments. However, it becomes an advantage as students are then well focused on their studies rather than leaving it pending.
- The campus can be introduced with a few more options for vegetarian food. There is plenty on campus however the options may feel limited sometimes. To prevent that, in Hatfield town where the university is located, there are many cuisines and restaurants to order from so you won't stay hungry!
Campus Life
The university is famous for all the active societies ranging from culture to mid night parties. All festivals are celebrated on campus through the relevant societies and all members are active. The campus has pubs and dining areas for you to enjoy with your friends, with free wifi across the university.
Accommodation
There are multiple options to choose from: Single en suite Twin en suite Townhouse Single Enhanced en suite Studio en suite The rent ranges from, on an average, £130-£240 p/w for 50 weeks contract.

- It was close to London and I wanted to be able to visit London once in a while, also I love creating stuff thus why I was intrigued by civil engineering.
- It is diverse and offers opportunity to everyone regardless of their background. 60% are international students which was good for me as I was an international student from Zimbabwe who needed a chance to prove what I am capable of.
Dislikes
- The peer pressure. It can really only affect you if you let it, but it is hard to resist. With people having different backgrounds, you might see yourself comparing yourself to everyone and what they have which you don't. It is not a good place to be in.
Campus Life
the clubs are very effective as i was part of the Zimbabwean society as the Vice President. I also took part in extracurricular activities such as the Summer Group project in which we had to design a courtyard fo4 students to use for extracurricular activities. It was really enticing and interesting to be able to work with people you do not see on a daily basis.
Accommodation
The accommodation rooms were comfortable and I enjoyed staying with them. the first year I was in the cheapest accommodation going for 520pounds per month. It had a double bed and I shared 3 toilets with 5 other flat mates.
