The University of Greenwich is a public university based in London, with campuses in Greenwich, Avery Hill, and Medway. It has around 22,000 students from over 100 countries, including over 3,100 from India. The university works on real-world topics like mosquito-related diseases and 3D printing for medical use, which makes learning more connected to what’s happening outside the classroom. For students planning to apply, postgraduate courses have 2 important deadlines which are December 12, 2025 for the January intake and July 1, 2026 for the September intake. Undergraduate admissions happen through the UCAS portal and the UCAS application deadline for this cycle is January 14, 2026.

As of 2026, the university is placed #801-850 in the QS World Rankings and #119 in The Guardian for Business and Management. Some of the well-liked courses here are the MSc in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and Biotechnology. Fees range from around £16,150 to £19,450 (₹17.8 to ₹21.6 lakhs), depending on the course. The acceptance rate of the university is 64%, which means getting admission is reasonably achievable for most eligible students. There are also scholarships and financial help, like the David Fussey Bursary, International Hardship Fund, and Ann Packer Sports Scholarship, to support international students.

Studying at the University of Greenwich comes with many real advantages that students often highlight such as strong student support, flexible assessment based learning, and access to a beautiful UNESCO listed campus near the River Thames. At the same time, there are realistic challenges that many international students face, including limited job opportunities during the sandwich year, expensive on campus accommodation, and occasional clashes between class timings and part time job shifts. Overall, as per Collegedunia, students review the university at 7.7 out of 10, with a higher rating for Infrastucture (9.6/10) and Social Life (9.4/10).

  • Greenwich mainly has three campuses: Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, Avery Hill and Medway.
  • I am situated in the main campus, in Greenwich. The campus has its own library known as "Stockwell Library". It is a separate three-storey building with a helpdesk to navigate shelves and plenty of study rooms available to book through the University website. Although the campus itself is huge, unfortunately there is no sports facility on the campus. All sports activities happen at the Avery Hill campus, which is one hour away from Greenwich.
  • Our campus is divided into multiple buildings, with each one serving a specific purpose.
  • Having worked as an F&B Team Member at the University Pub "Lower Deck", I actively contributed to major events. The events included "Bollywood Night", "Wavey Wednesday" and "Oktober Fest", to name a few. Located by the riverside, the scenic campus frequently becomes home to numerous movie shoots.

Fees

  • The total fees for my MBA International Business course were 19,925 GBP. Now, as per the UKVI regulations, in order to receive the CAS number, 50% of these fees have to be paid before attending University. The rest, 50%, can be paid in three equal instalments within the first six months of joining University or alternatively be paid in a lump sum with a 2.5% discount.
  • The University does have its own accommodation facilities; however, I found myself a room for a better price. A person would normally be looking at spending around 800 GBP (roughly 100,000 INR) every month for a decent en-suite room. This might seem like a lot, which is why having a part-time job makes things easier. In terms of transport, one should expect to spend at least 100 GBP every month, with trains charging 2.10 GBP every ride and buses 1.45 GBP. Other expenses like groceries and utilities account for another 200-250 GBP.
  • In a nutshell, one can expect to spend nearly 1000 GBP every month to get along well in London.

  • My college has three campuses: Avery Hill, Medway and Greenwich. All three of them are well-structured spaces.
  • My campus In Greenwich has Library sports club medical service area .
  • Our college conducts Big welcome parties for the freshers throughout the month and The students union here celebrate Diwali and Navarathri by having parties.
  • We have lots of sports clubs in our college. Any students can join in any of them.

Fees

  • My entire fee for the EMBA course here is about 20k GBP. It includes the tuition fee and everything
  • We can pay the fee in whole or in a semester-wise system. If we pay the fee in full before entering college, we can have a cashback of up to 2 per cent in our college.
  • The estimated monthly expenses here are 1100 GBP which is about 13200 GBP per year.
  • For rent around 800, Transport around 100
  • Food around 200. This is what the split of expense per month is.

  • Three campuses – Greenwich (Park Row), Avery Hill, and Kent. The first two, i.e., Greenwich (Park Row) and Avery Hill, are based in London. Kent is a little far away from Central London and requires a bit of travel.
  • All facilities, such as multiple libraries, third spaces, study spaces, restaurants and restrooms, are widely available to use.
  • I cannot recall any events since I did not really want to participate in anything.

Fees

  • The tuition fees were about 17,500 Great Britain Pounds (GBP), based on what I remember. This was only the educational aspect of finances, as in just the tuition fees. The stay/accommodation and travel were other added expenses.
  • Because it was a one-year full-time master's degree, it was paid off in two different but equal instalments.
  • About 1000 pounds per month - stay, travel and personal expenses.

  • We have three campuses:
    1. University of Greenwich, Old Royal Naval College. Which is in South East London Se10 9LS and also the main campus. From this campus only we have bus facilities to go to another campus
    2. University of Greenwich, Kent Campus
    3. University of Greenwich, Medway campus. Which is special for pharmaceutical course
  • There are several facilities provided by the university: those are the library, laptops, and job fairs. Educating students on healthy relationships, anti-racism programmes, employability opportunities and many more.

Fees

  • It is a 1-year course, and for the 1-year course, they charged 18150 pounds. I paid almost 60% of the fee in India and the remaining fee I paid while online registering. I paid 7 and a half lakhs in India and the remaining amount I paid in pounds. Also, the university gave me a discount of 415 pounds for early payment of the tuition fee.
  • For monthly expenses, rent is 400 pounds to 500 pounds. Groceries 100 Travelling Pounds.

Overview

Not many universities in the UK gave me the option to pursue a dual-subject master's degree. I either had the option to pursue strategic Advertising or Mass Communications. However, at UOG I was offered an offer for Strategic Advertising along with Marketing Communications which gave me overall exposure to branding, strategy and Business Development.

My campus was the most beautiful campus I laid eyes on, right on the banks of the River Thames, with the best clubs allowing us to connect with like-minded individuals and also grow in our careers.

Campus life is pretty good at Greenwich. Very big old beautiful campus. There are many clubs which you can participate in and also many extracurricular activities. All students are encouraged to join the clubs and teams to showcase their talent and also learn new things together. This library is one of the largest in UK. You can find multiple books, articles, journals, etc which are useful for your final research and also is a knowledge center for many. There are lots of facilities in the Library and campus. You can access to computers, work on your assignments, sit with team mates and finish your group assignments, access WiFi, use computers, use laptops, locker facilities, sports indoor & outdoor facilities, and many more.

Overview

The overall experience is quite good considering the quality of education as it is much more practical also it feels up to date with industry standards. Also some of the modules requires coursework which is more researched based which widens the knowledge and gives a student an opportunity to use the knowledge they received. In terms of placements, all the Universities lack these as they cannot provide the placement.
