- Support:- We all know that studying abroad can be daunting. Here, you're not moving from Bangalore to Hyderabad. You are literally changing countries- changing what you eat, when you sleep, and how you study. And such cultural shock can rob off a person's energy. Not to mention the intense homesickness that comes with it. In times like these, the Student Support and Greenwich Business School seems like a god send.
- For example, I still remember my second day in the UK, when I didn't even know how to use public transport and had to literally walk 2 miles to the University. I didn't even have an active UK number at that time. And unlike other Universities who only provide academic support, Greenwich Student support gave me a blueprint on how to get along in the UK.
- Curriculum:- How could I not mention how different studying in the UK is, in a good way of course! Unlike India, most UK Universities do not have a fixed syllabus, i.e., you are not limited to studying a particular book for a particular subject.
Dislikes
- Course Structure:- While the course itself is great with an immaculate curriculum, it is the way the modules are distributed that hinders one's ability to grow. The MBA course I studied is a 2-year course. Generally, all UK Masters courses are 1 year long, however mine had a sandwich year after that. In the Sandwich year, commonly known as a Placement Year, one is expected to find and complete a 40-45 week long placement, before they graduate.
- Finding a job in the UK isn't as difficult as they say on the internet, but the caveat here is compliance. My course has a detailed checklist on the type of job permitted as placement. For example, I could only do a job on fixed-term basis and not permanent. From my own research, I found 3/4 of all jobs in London to be permanent contract. This makes finding a placement extremely difficult.
- Personally, I feel it would have been better if it was a 1-year course instead, which would have facilitated better flexibility to pursue a career that one really likes, and not one that UKVI allows.

- I would rate the difficulty level of my course curriculum 7/10. The difficult part of the course is assessment. The main challenge is to be able to write 2000-3000 words per assessment.
- Anyone who has strong writing skills, grammar and storytelling would fare well in this mode of learning. The only written exam in a hall happens at the end of Term 2, which in my case was Cost Accountancy.
- The academic year is divided into 3 terms, with the main lectures and tutorials happening in terms 1 & 2. Notable modules/subjects included Global Strategy, Global Sustainability, International Entrepreneurship, International Economics & Innovation, Foundations of Scholarship and my favourite, Managing Across Cultures.
- Year 2 is a Placement Year in which students have to write a 15,000-word project, an amalgamation of Job Search Reflection, Critical Incident Report and Placement learning.
- The most positive aspect of the course is that it allows an individual to hone their people skills and overcome stage fear, as they would have around 10 presentations in total (a mix of group and individual presentations).
- In terms of classes, lectures are held on Mondays and Tuesdays and are in online mode only. The last 3 days of the week are kept for tutorials, and this provides students with the opportunity to interact with their tutor and other students in their class. Class timings vary throughout the week, ranging from morning till late afternoon.
- The strength of my cohort was roughly 180 students, divided into sections. Each section would consist of nearly 10-12 students, which translates to a good faculty-to-student ratio of 1:10.
- My cohort, and in fact Greenwich itself, is swamped with Indian and Indian-origin students. I would estimate nearly 80% of my batchmates to be Indians, which is a staggering figure. Fun fact: the President of Greenwich Students' Union is an Indian.
Fees
- The total fees for my MBA International Business course were 19,925 GBP. Now, as per the UKVI regulations, in order to receive the CAS number, 50% of these fees have to be paid before attending University. The rest, 50%, can be paid in three equal instalments within the first six months of joining University or alternatively be paid in a lump sum with a 2.5% discount.
- The University does have its own accommodation facilities; however, I found myself a room for a better price. A person would normally be looking at spending around 800 GBP (roughly 100,000 INR) every month for a decent en-suite room. This might seem like a lot, which is why having a part-time job makes things easier. In terms of transport, one should expect to spend at least 100 GBP every month, with trains charging 2.10 GBP every ride and buses 1.45 GBP. Other expenses like groceries and utilities account for another 200-250 GBP.
- In a nutshell, one can expect to spend nearly 1000 GBP every month to get along well in London.

- Mine is Little hard as it has more practical and research oriented one.
- Positive is that it enriches me with all the skills that are needed to lead a company anywhere in the world. Negative is that I should have at least one more year of work experience in order to completely fit in this course.
- For my course I will be having classes for two days in a week and it is about four hours in the morning from 10am.
- In my class there are 20 people, including me. In my class there are 9 Indians.
Fees
- My entire fee for the EMBA course here is about 20k GBP. It includes the tuition fee and everything
- We can pay the fee in whole or in a semester-wise system. If we pay the fee in full before entering college, we can have a cashback of up to 2 per cent in our college.
- The estimated monthly expenses here are 1100 GBP which is about 13200 GBP per year.
- For rent around 800, Transport around 100
- Food around 200. This is what the split of expense per month is.

- The infrastructure - Greenwich is a beautiful borough of London, and studying there makes you feel surreal!
- Social activities & clubs - The university had multiple activities/festivals that provided a chance to socialise and meet new people.
- Professors - They were really learned and super helpful, friendly and kind!
Dislikes
- Distance - I did not stay in the student accommodation; so I had to travel about 2.5 - 3 hours (to + fro) on days I had classes
- Fare - Travel in London is expensive, so on days that I did have classes, I was spending quite a bit on travel
- No compulsory class participation - This caused the cohort to divide itself into groups by themselves, and I feel like I missed out on the chance to know my classmates better

- The MSc was mostly theoretical, apart from my placement module. I did not find the curriculum particularly difficult. I could have coped with an increased difficulty of the course structure.
- Positive aspects of the course include the variety of topics covered in psychology, the professors being all PhDs, and interesting assignments. The negative aspect was that the course was not particularly difficult; I ended up getting a Distinction fairly easily.
- I had at the most two classes of two hours each per day. My classes got over before 5 pm.
- My cohort had about 25 - 30 students.
- About 8 to 10 of them were Indians, based on what I remember.
Fees
- The tuition fees were about 17,500 Great Britain Pounds (GBP), based on what I remember. This was only the educational aspect of finances, as in just the tuition fees. The stay/accommodation and travel were other added expenses.
- Because it was a one-year full-time master's degree, it was paid off in two different but equal instalments.
- About 1000 pounds per month - stay, travel and personal expenses.

- It's not very difficult and not so easy to do this data Science course. In my course, it was both theoretical and practical. For example, if I have 2 hours of machine learning class on the same day, we will have 2 hours of machine learning lab.
- Data Science is an overrated course, From my perspective, just because of the boom, everyone is taking up this course without considering their freedom of choice and interest. Of course, Greenwich always stands for student employability by launching programs like job fairs and student ambassador opportunities.
- Tatiana Simmonds is our programme leader, a very communicative and supportive leader and always answers my queries.
Fees
- It is a 1-year course, and for the 1-year course, they charged 18150 pounds. I paid almost 60% of the fee in India and the remaining fee I paid while online registering. I paid 7 and a half lakhs in India and the remaining amount I paid in pounds. Also, the university gave me a discount of 415 pounds for early payment of the tuition fee.
- For monthly expenses, rent is 400 pounds to 500 pounds. Groceries 100 Travelling Pounds.

- A well recognized public university with a decent tution fee structure. More over i wanted this course with xxxx number of credits and subjects for helping my career. Compared to other universities which i wouldnt name, i felt university of greenwich is a old university in UK with enhanced teaching skills and they upgrade regularly to the current situations in the outside world. The faculty is really very professional and experienced. The reason for me to chose MBA in International Business is the global faculty who has different experiences across the world which are taught together for a student who has studied his entire lifetime in a single country.
- The professors at my university were not only experts in their fields but also approachable and supportive. Their dedication to teaching and mentoring was evident, and they always encouraged us to think critically and pursue our academic interests. The lively campus environment was one of the highlights of my university experience. There were always events, activities, and student organizations to participate in, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging. The university’s emphasis on global education, including study abroad programs and international student exchanges, enriched my understanding of different cultures and global issues. This global perspective was integral to my personal and academic development. The university’s location provided easy access to cultural, professional, and recreational opportunities. Its proximity to key industries and vibrant cities enhanced both my academic and extracurricular experiences.

- Nothing much i have disliked about my college. The only point i have disliked is the duration of the classes. Generally most of the classes are till late evening 8pm. This was late back in 2020. Now Couple of new joiners told me that the classes have been pushed back and are completed by 6pm.

The syllabus explained in the course was actually a brain enhancer for me. As you cannot update yourself on whats happening across the world, the global trends, the market trends, etc, all in one place was taught in this course. The Syllabus is itself a current affairs business knowledge sessions. All the business trends across the globe are provided under one roof.

Its in London, in comparison to other university there were more chances of employment also during my time as student and after education as it university does not provide placement they help to get prepared. 2. The modules and fees, modules are related to and around Cybersecurity and it also included computer forensics which facinated me during that time. - The approach for the education is very practical and has an hands on experience in the field of study rather than bookish knowledge.

- For all the reasons that I previously listed. I had a couple of contacts who had applied and studied here and on their recommendation, I had applied.
- The university is really good in terms of the resources available for students. The library is the best part and is equipped with the latest journals and books. It also has access available to e-books and online journals. The timings of the classes are also extremely convenient!
- Additionally, there are a lot of events that are regularly organized which help students network with potential placement offering companies and otherwise.
Dislikes
- "Nothing, really! Honestly, I really like my university because it is a wonderful place to study. I am glad I opted for Greenwich because it provides me with the environment that facilitates my academics and well-being."

It is extremely relevant. Very appropriate and updated. My course is rather research based. The classes also center around reading research and review papers and critiquing them. We also have a placement module which is upcoming.
