Campus Life

  • there one two campus one in Middlesbrough and one in Darlington. The main campus is in Middlesbrough, but the student who had the class in Darlington had to manage the travel by themself, as there was no transportation from the university.
  • I only know that Darlington has the library and lab for the bio students. I don't know any other things for my campus, which is in Middlesbrough; it had everything: a sports building, which included a gym, a football ground, a climbing wall, and a badminton place.
  • There was a swimming pool as well but it was off-campus and a little far from the campus. there is a club as well on my main campus which serves the discounted drinks to uni students who provide the student ID.
  • There was a whole month dedicated to the event before we started the course which is in September intact, which included nightclubs, question games, disco nights and many others.

Fees

  • During my admission, the total course fee was £14,000. I was supposed to pay half upfront (£7,000), but after getting a £1,500 scholarship and an additional £500 discount for paying the rest in full, I paid £5,000 in my first year. Fees could be paid yearly or broken into monthly instalments. I chose private housing with a friend, which was far cheaper than the university accommodation.
  • My monthly expenses were lower due to shared rent, and I managed transport and living costs within a reasonable budget. The total fee during my addition was 14000 pounds; I meant to pay half, which is 7000 but I got a 1500 scholarship and 500 off if I pay the whole remaining amount.
  • So I paid 5000 in the first year. there is an option to break it down to monthly if the student prefers. I took the private renting option to share with my friend, which was way cheaper than the accommodation offered by the university. scholarship eligibility was to have good goodmarks in 10th standard in English, I think. I don't know any other scholarships provided by the university. there is a price hike in courses as well since my admission.

  • 2 campuses. One in Darlington and another one in Middlesbrough
  • There were 24/7 gym facilities, 24/7 library, a cafeteria, seating spaces in the middle of the campus, etc.
  • There is indian society which conducts many programs. Also the freshers' day and end of college day, which are conducted by the university, are marvellous.
  • I didn't see any sports event which took place on the campus. But there are a lot of festival programmes.

Fees

  • £15000 and there was a £2000 scholarship discount and hence the overall fee was £13000 Yearly (You have the option to pay as an instalment)
  • Considering the city is cheap, the estimated monthly expense, including rent, would be £350. It could go up or down based on the rent. If you wish to look for a shared house, the rent is comparatively cheap.

  • The college has recently opened a 3rd campus in London. Library 24/7 is available. Sport and Gym facilities are available, but those are paid facilities. There is a major freshers' week at the University that has different events. There is a breakfast club.
  • The Indian society club is available as well. Various student communities are available as well. There is a student organization at the University

Fees

  • it was 15000 GBP and there was the option of instalments, like an initial 5,000 deposit and then 3,333 + 3,333 + 3,334 every month. The fees were charged annually; however, we were asked to pay it in the span of 4 months only.
  • Monthly expenses included rent bills (100 GBP), groceries (100 GBP) and any other expense of around 100 GBP, making total of 500-600 GBP

  • Campus life is pretty nice, and yes it has wonderful facilities like a library, research centres and advanced labs. Main Campus fests are Halloween, freshers Day and Christmas.
  • Teesside University currently has two campuses, located in Middlesbrough and London.
  • A library, sports club, and facilities including a badminton court, a football ground, a basketball court, and a squash court are present. An excellent rock climbing club is also present.
  • Several clubs are there, which include a book club, music club, sports club, etc. Festivals include Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc.
  • 4Among student organizations, we had the student union club, which was very helpful in solving any issues that international students faced. There is also a free mental health counseling service done by university people to help those who are facing nostalgia for their own home country.

Fees

  • The tuition fee was charged yearly.
    £7000 per year (without scholarship)
  • The monthly expenses while I studied were around £800 each month, which includes rent of approximately £330 for a single shared room, £250 for monthly groceries and food, and the remainder for shopping, eating out, and transportation.
  • But it also depends heavily on your spending habits and your own personal finance management.

I am a master’s student pursuing animation with advanced practice at Teesside University, England. I choose this university because it was affordable and it was one of the few universities providing 2 years degree in 3D animation. Also the town is one of the most cheapest places in England.

1. What are the differences between the Master in Bioinformatics and Master in Bioinformatics (with Advanced Practice) programs at Teesside University? 2. How do these programs align with pursuing a PhD after completing my master's degree from Teesside University?

Both programs offer intensive training in managing and analyzing biological data using computational approaches, the advanced practice variant provides additional experiential learning opportunities through practical placements or research projects. This enhances skill development and offers hands-on experience aligned with industry or academic needs, further preparing students for diverse career paths, including pursuing a PhD after completing their master's degree.
