The Course curriculum is state of the art and the faculty is actively engaged in the development of future technologies. There is a certain level of industrial exposure from guest lecturers across the industry and the dissertation lends itself to a good research experience.

It's very updated and teaches how to solve problems in the industry. All the assignments were problems faced in the industry.

Dislikes:

  • The thing I dislike is that there are regular protests going on around the uni campus. null

Course Curriculum

In general, the curriculum is good but a bit too hectic with the assignments. I have 50% of the course as a dissertation which I think is too much instead we could have some more subjects included. We had some guest lectures from industry experts in a few subjects.

The course is quite relevant and up to date in terms of industry today but also makes sure that relevant background courses are given.

Fees

I had to pay 33000£ for my program which had 6 units in total and dissertation.

Dislikes:

  • Classmates aren't super sociable and mostly keep to themselves. Profs, while approachable, can sometimes not reply to emails for weeks/months. Strong emphasis on self-study and not as much guided study. null

Course Curriculum

The Course syllabus is relevant to modern-day requirements. We had a course on Techniques for Research and Industry where we had to collaborate, as part of a pre-determined group, to create a proposal and design of a new technological product.

Fees

The total for me was 33500 GBP. I have heard that this year, it has been hiked to 35000 GBP.

  • Less networking events and placement talks. null

It is average at best, to be honest. Even though they introduced a new module related to sustainability, all modules could have been taught more practically with a field visit, etc.

Dislikes:

  • For courses in social sciences in particular, there is low placement opportunity. Students must find career opportunities themselves, although many companies keep coming in general to the university on open days. null

Course Curriculum

Industry-relevant curriculum. Very structured, yet can be modified based on the student's requirements and aspirations. Given research experience, but not industrial exposure.

Fees

18,000 GBP.

academic: 10/10
faculty: 10/10
infrastructure: 10/10
accomodation: 10/10
placement: 8/10
extracurricular: 10/10

Dislikes:

  • Can be expensive to live (depending on location) .
  • Can be daunting for those who have never lived alone .
  • More focused on self-study as compared to the Indian schooling system; great lecturers nevertheless. null
  • No companies come to campus so if you need hand-holding to find a job, going abroad might not be for you if your sole reason for going is finding a job .

Could not recommend enough! There is a variety of projects that you will be a part of and do not shy away from grabbing the bull by its horn. Some courses are harder than others, even though no module is the same and this brings another layer of uniqueness to your academic experience. Since my course was focused on finance, we had some veterans of the industry come to our lectures and describe any recent changes in their landscape. During your bachelor's, there will be an option to take a year in industry, given you can find someone to hire you. This was the most crucial year in my personal opinion to shape my outlook. All in all, the university can only take you so far, it boils down to how you utilize the opportunities presented to you.

Fees

International students pay 3x when compared to a local/national student. It would be anywhere between GBP 20k-25k per year. Financing your university becomes a must for many students but thankfully there are a lot of options available in your home country. Try to get scholarships if you have something to back it up.
