I chose UoM because of its standing and ranking globally. Apart from that, I also considered the course structure and options given to make the course fit my personal goals better.

Course Curriculum

9

The course is quite relevant and up to date in terms of industry today but also makes sure that relevant background courses are given.

Exams

- IELTS: 8, some experience in my core subject and an A grade in my bachelor’s - 10th: 78%, 12th: 60% Mumbai University- BSc Computer Science 85% - Requirements: I had to submit sop and lors. Sop mentioned how and why I selected this course and university out of all others and highlighted my goals and how they aligned with the course. - Interview Round: No, no interviews were needed.

Placement

7

There have been multiple job fairs specifically for my program, and companies like intel, arm, and booking.com came in to talk more about the positions available in their companies.

Fees

I had to pay 33000£ for my program which had 6 units in total and dissertation.

Faculty

9

The faculty here is good. Some professors are very hands-on while some hardly ever respond to you. My dissertation professor is wonderful and always available to help find answers essential to making headway in my project. While my advisor has only set up a meeting once to help me figure out the course setup and other aspects she is expected to help out with as an international student.

Campus Life

The campus has different buildings for different activities or classes. The WiFi on campus works at a good enough speed. There are lots of clubs and activities to participate in. They set up events to give more information about these every few months and pass freebies to market these activities.

Hostel

6

I live in a private 4 bed 2 bath house about 20 mins away from the university. The rent is 500£/month excluding utilities. I have a private room and there's ample space. In my opinion, university accommodation is not good if you compare the prices between that and private accommodation like mine.
