Shortlisted at Cranfield University, Shortlisted in the University of Michigan, and Admitted in the University of Manchester. University of Manchester, Cranfield University, University of Michigan Cambridge, Oxford, NUS Singapore They required a high GRE score. While the University of Manchester can admit you even with a TOEFL score, for the rest you need a high GRE score. I was unable to get the cutoff score. It has the best Thermal and Fluid Engineering program in the UK. You complete your IELTS/TOEFL and GRE, apply for the programme on the university website with an SOP and reference letter. TOEFL/IELTS are enough but GRE is also good to have. 105 plus in TOEFL, 310 plus in GRE. The overall admission experience was very smooth and easy to handle. Challenge was to apply for the VISA and get the TB test done for it. I applied for the September intake, as it was after i finished my bachelor's degree. I applied to the colleges in the UK that come in the Russell group like university of Manchester, university of Manchester, and the university of east Anglia and one non Russel group university which is Kingston university. I got accepted to all of these universities but I chose the University of Manchester because the course they teach is more aligned with what I wanted to pursue and, of course, because of the university's global reputation. Factors that influenced my decision were mainly the subjects they were teaching, which aligned more to the organizational aspect and what I was interested in, and secondly, because it is one of the top ten Russel group uni in the uk and globally. The application process was not that hard; I just applied and got a conditional letter because they needed my undergraduate degree, then after submitting that, I got my unconditional letter and paid 1000 pounds to confirm my seat and that was it. So for particularly my course, the SAT score should be more than 7 or 7.5 I am not too sure and to get admitted to the organizational psychology course, my undergrad degree needed to be BPS accredited. So I applied for the BPS accreditation and since I did psychology honors at the University of Delhi, I got the accreditation within a month and then I applied to the organizational psychology course. I applied at the following colleges in the UK: University of Birmingham - In process, did not get a result. University of Manchester - Admitted (Received confirmed admission) University of Liverpool - In process, did not get a result. University of Edinburgh - In process, did not get a result. Queen Mary University of London - Received offer of admission. I applied at the following colleges in Australia: University of Melbourne - In process, did not get a result. University of Sydney - Filled application form but could not proceed with further documentation since the university wanted a minimum ITR of parents and my parents did not meet the ITR threshold. I applied at the following college in Canada: University of Toronto - Rejected. Did not meet GMAT score cutoff. I choose the University of Manchester (UoM) over Queen Mary University of London due to the following factors: The QS ranking of UoM is higher than Queen Mary. The accommodation and living costs are cheaper in Manchester when compared to London. The course I wanted (MSc Data Science) was at UoM. Hence, UoM was my obvious first choice. I believe every course has its own admission process. But my course only screened my past education and work experience records, plus my IELTS score and offered me admission. The minimum score eligibility for IELTS was 6.5 overall, with each component not less than 6.0. The basic eligibility criteria are a good IELTS score, proven academic and experience records and a good reason for applying to the specific course. The overall experience was absolutely easy. We had sessions with the international admission team, who would answer all our queries. There were no challenges. The process was very smooth. I applied for the Fall (Sept) intake, as I wanted to join college asap. The September intake is when most students are incoming so it felt better in terms of finding a good cohort and it aligns well with the calendar worldwide. I applied to 7 Universities, here are the stats: I got confirmed admission from the University of Leeds, University of Liverpool, Queen Mary University of London, University of Warwick, and University of Manchester. I got rejected from the University of Glasgow and the University of Bristol. I wasn't accepted into the 2 universities, possibly because my cgpa wasn't as high as they needed it to be. I chose the University of Manchester as my final option because of the quality of education, ample availability of part-time jobs in the city and the location of the University. After filling out the application form, I had to submit a writing sample for eligibility and an IELTS score, after which i got a letter of acceptance from them. My course only needed the IELTS score; the minimum had to be a 7 overall. The overall experience was really easy because I went through my application and admission process using external consultant services from TFM Overseas Education Consultants. I didn't face any challenges, as my CAS certificate, visa and scholarship arrived well in time. In fact, I received my offer very early on so I was able to finish everything ahead of time. I would recommend starting to apply right after the fall intake to be early in the process. I applied for the September 2024 intake, as i took a gap year after my undergrad. The admission process took about 7-8 months, including the reception of the CAS Certificate. I applied to more than 100 universities so I am not gonna list them, though I do have an excel spreadsheet of all of them compiled somewhere in my laptop. TLDR: I got accepted into all Russell Group universities of the UK except Oxford and Cambridge. I got rejected by all the IVY leagues (only made it till interview round of UPenn). Many more rejections in The US and Europe but got in few German and Canadian Universities. I got into NUS in Singapore but didn't accept because I had to do 3 years of military training which at the time I wasn't keen into but now looking back at it I might've preferred that instead. I got into UNSW of Australia and University of Auckland in New Zealand as well. As for the US ones, I got into Purdue University, NYU and some more but they were very expensive and now the craziest admission letter I had after my interview at Washington University. I got offered 100% scholarship in Washington University for a degree in hard sciences as in BS in Physics and Maths (I even had options to choose astrophysics which I love so much and few chem models as its a major based degree) but at that time I was an idiot that I didn't accept that offer and to this date I regret it all because they didn't had any engineering modules or engineering degree to offer at that time. I still think that if somehow I could reverse time I should've chosen that offer at all costs. I forgot to mention that I received 5,000 pounds/ year scholarship at University of Edinburgh and University of Glasgow respectively and a 8,000 pounds/ year scholarship at University of Leicester. Quite a lot to tell about my application stage struggle and how hard I went to apply. One thing to note is that never pick that option of tuition fee waiver as it incredibly slims your chances of getting admission and that was the case why I got rejected in so many universities even though my application was fine and academics was also on par. Always choose application fee waiver though so you can apply as much as I did. Also I never took help from any consultants or third party with my applications as I believed in myself more and I wanted to save money lol. Plus my mindset has always been that what they can do I can do better and it's never gonna change. P.S. Goodluck Applying!! For choosing the university my criteria depended on curriculum, modules, degree offered, city I am gonna study at, ranking of university, subject ranking of that degree, country's post study visa structure, language barrier (most euro unis in bachelors require you to study that country's language and that bachelors is mostly taught in that language as well so that was my reason of not accepting some fabulous european universities, It's not the same case in masters tho as they offer masters in english as well but back then in bachelors and i'm pretty sure even now its not the same case), and the most important how expensive or how much tuition fees is that's why after all those conclusions I chose University of Manchester (though should've chose that Washington University). Admission process is not something even I know how universities go about. It's not transparent and definitely very rigorous. Admission experience is very tough. I understand there will be quite a lot of challenges and rejections but never give up . Just be yourself. Know that Universities want you more than you want them. I applied to multiple colleges: Imperial london- waitlisted; Queen mary university- Selected, University of Warwick- selected, University of York - selected, University of Nottingham- selected, University of Liverpool- selected, University of Leeds - selected, University of Bath - selected, University of Edinburgh- shortlisted but seats full- waitlisted at end, University of Manchester- selected, Manchester metropolitan University- selected. That’s all.  I chose University of Manchester as UoM had a specific curriculum which I was looking for, since the start of my university search. My counselor had recommended several other universities, but I decided on Manchester as it had a detailed approach into Digital marketing, rather than others which were focused only on marketing . Admission process - 1. Confirmation of seat by payment of deposit. 2. Financial details - loan / self etc 3. Background check by university 4. Wait for CAS letter 5. Visa application 6.
