- It's is a very Multicultural Campus
- The campus is very high tech.

Dislikes
- The campus is very spread out and somethings it tiring to go from one class to another.
- The accommodation is very expensive.
- Sometimes its hard to get time post lecture from professors.
- I was in budget accommodation provided by the University. But the services were excellent, the rooms are great, and the space is great. It was a good experience.
- I don't remember the monthly rent but the final payment was GBP 7000 excluding food facilities.
- There is very less accommodation so you have to choose fast. Also i had to live in a different room for a few days, as the room allotted to me was under maintenance.
- Choose the University accommodation even if it's a bit expensive. It's safe, more student-like and helps you get to know more people.
- My accommodation was 5 km from my campus.

- No spoon feeding wrt to teaching
- Exams structure is very different
- Based on personal initiation meaning that here they don’t make you attend events or make anything compulsory. You are basically on your own when it comes to attending networking events and keep an eye out on your mails.
- I just put in for university accommodations and from there the university helps you get an accommodation. So I made a mistake wrt accommodation as when you apply for that, you have with your 5 preferences based on the university accommodation and accidentally my first preference was IQ accommodation in Salford. I didn’t read the distance, which showed 40 mins from bus so I ended up there but my accommodation is really big and better than other university accommodation but since it is off campus, I won’t recommend it.

- I found my accommodation through unite student accommodation and stayed in piccadilly Manchester. The process was straightforward, but I'd highly recommend booking early because prices go up quickly as the intake approaches. Since I booked two months before the intake, and my rent was around £800 per month.

- Rigorous course: Since the course is rolled into one year, it can get difficult to keep pace with the syllabus.
- A few accommodations are poorly managed.
- Scholarships getting over pretty quickly.
- I opted for On-campus accommodation and I loved my flat. A form is sent out to students from the university itself where we have to give our top 5 preferences for accommodation and the university will allot one at random. I luckily got my first preference. It was just a 5-minute walk to the library and about a 7-10 minute walk to the main lecture buildings.
- The monthly rent was about 540 GBP which is the cheapest on campus. I have a separate bedroom to myself. The kitchen, toilet and shower rooms are shared common spaces and these spaces are cleaned by the cleaning staff twice a week. There are an iron box, kettle, fridge, oven, microwave and vacuum available in the flat. I personally did not encounter any challenges while finding or securing my accommodation because it is the one I wanted.
- I stay in Whitworth Park Leamington House and this house is the most newly furnished one in this accommodation community. it is the cheapest when compared to other one-campus accommodations, and it is very close to lecture halls. I have seen many Indians choose the accommodation I have chosen, purely because of the above-mentioned reasons. But a few students go for private accommodations or a little far off campus if they have more funds with them.
- If your budget is small and you want one close to campus and do not mind a shared toilet/bathroom, then I definitely recommend Whitworth Park, but only certain flats are good (a few very old flats are in bad condition), so please check pictures before giving this one as a preference.

- I don't think I'm unhappy with anything on campus The commute to university can be a task I really cannot think of anything else
- Off campus. Near City centre.
- I used UniAcco but I would advise students to simply go to the website of the accommodation site and book it directly because agencies take a fee of 100 pounds which is so not worth it.
- 235 per week rent.
- Getting uni accommodation is the best, it is way cheaper, starting around 150 i guess. It's best to stay there.

- Well maintained classrooms, facilities- full points
- I searched through local agents. This can be considered cost-effective as compared to on-campus accommodation. The only drawback of staying off campus is that you don't make friends easily, which can make you feel home-sick at times. I have seen a lot of students staying on campus being more involved in groups.

- Once you are finalized with the subjects/project topics, its nearly impossible to get it changed after the deadline.
- For international students, its harder to adjust to the study patern of the university, as it is more research based.
- Tuition fee is quite high as a student
- I searched for the accommodations months in advance and I emphasise the need for students to book their accommodations as early as possible. Because as time runs short, the prices skyrocket. Also, the location of accommodation matters a lot—how close it is to the university, the closest market and bus stations, etc.

- No placement cell for helping with the job post completion of the course
- I opted for a private accommodation as I wanted a spacious room, my rent was 750 pounds per month which is standard in Manchester, it is more expensive if you have to live in London, I booked the room through an app and didn't need any channels for it, there are a lot of challenges which you will face when you're moving to UK the first and obvious one is that the weather is too cold and you'll need time to get used to it.
- My room was close to university it was a 15-20 minutes walk.

- The degree was of one year which was challenging but highly rewarding.
- Group projects and individual projects developed many skills.
- University tie ups with industry can help potential research students in their research.
Dislikes
- General public was less friendly towards foreign students.
- The public areas are deserted throughout the day which feels odd at times.
- Very high prices of the groceries and other items that you need on a daily basis.
- In the UK, the university does NOT guarantee a full-time job. However, the student centre in the university helps you to polish your CV or cover letter, recommend new skills, etc.
- But if you are highly inclined towards getting a job, I would recommend a 2-year Industrial master’s degree in the UK wherein you are forced to work in a relevant industry for the second year of your master's degree, and the University helps you in it!
- Moreover, now with 2 years post-work visa, there are significant chances that you will continue with your job in the 2 years Industrial master’s degree case after degree completion. However, if you are looking for a job with a year Master’s degree, it is possible but you have to keep applying for a longer period of time in the industry of your interest.

I chose the University of Manchester because of its prestige and because the Computer Security program was perfect for me in line with my career goals. The Department of Computer Science is an excellent one in addition to being the oldest in the world.
