Remarks

Not as such. The college is good and infrastructural facilities are also better than other DU colleges. Also the crowd is very good and vibrant and the college is very reputed. Also, the location if the college is pretty mainstream as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum and exam structure is pretty much the same as followed in the complete Delhi University. About the curriculum, the course consists of various concepts of business like marketing management, legal aspects of business, corporate finance etc and concepts of economics like microeconomics, macroeconomics, industrial economics, international economics etc. If we talk about the exam structure, we have our External exams once every semester ie once in 6 months. We also give a number of internal tests, projects, presentations and also maintain our attendance so as to maximise our score in internals.

Placement Experience

4

The placement and job opportunities are okayish since recruiters come to hire undergraduate freshers from our college. The average package is that of 3.2 lakhs and the highest package goes to a range of 10-12 lakhs. Our college also provides internships to students and the stipend offerred in those internships is about 5-10k.

College Events

4.5

Eminence-the college fest of SGGSCC happens each year. The fest is really lit as several socities perform and compete as well amd at night the stage is set on fire by some good punjabi singers. Also, all round the years several academic as well as recreational events keep happening which are organized by the college and different socities as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure when compared to other colleges in DU is the highest. Like I pay about 42k per year. But if the fees is compared to other colleges in Delhi excluding those in Delhi University, the fees is not much.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college offers various scholarships based on the ews stature of a family and also the marks of a student in the final external examinations on which top 3 rankers are awarded prize money and recognition.

Campus Life

4.5

Extracurricular activities are pretty good. We have a number of sports played in our college like cricket, basketball, football, archery, chess etc. Also, there are a nunber of activities such as dancing, singing, creative writing which are promoted by different socities of the college.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I have not opted for hostel but some of my friends have. So I can rate based on their experience. The rooms are spacious and clean. All rooms have their own balconies. The rooms are on double sharing and triple sharing basis. They have washroom attached. One almirah is allotted to each bed and the almirah also has a safe. The food is Okay as compared to other hostels. Also good quality air conditioning is in place. So all in all its a good Girls' hostel. I would rate it 4/5.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni metwork and senior students are pretty helpful if you connect with them for some guidance. They guide you through what options can be available for us and also about their own experiences to guide us.

Admission

I got admission into this college through the spot counselling round of the DU JAT exam. When I came for admission, the process was quick and smooth without any glitches. I was made to fill out a single form and alongwith it, I submitted my original documents. After that, I was taken to the BBE lab by some seniors who entered my data into the system. This is how my admission process got complete

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the college is very learned, experienced, come from relevant fields of study and hardworking as well. Also, most of the teachers are very supportive of co curricular activities of students so that creates a hollistic environment for everyone to thrive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It DU, so i think for many students it comes down to if you are able to make it to cutt off list. So my decision was based on it. I cleared the cutt off list for english hons so i took it. I wanted to make my way for govt job, so it was all about getting a degree regardless of what subject i was getting. I think curriculum just make you educated enough to get to know but its the college life that make you come face to face with the real world. exams every 6 months i.e every semester i think its good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really like Human Geography which let me to opt for this paper. Besides theory papers, we also have practical papers every semester through which we conduct surveys, interviews, research which helps us in preparing for the real world applications as well as further academic pursuits if we want to go in the field of Remote sensing or GIS. I feel that for papers including research or management, we should be showcasing how we can mitigate them or adapt in such scenarios and also make drafts for writing a research for further pursuits. However, as the time is limited it is quite understandable as to why its not conducted. We have two exams in a year and they are quite relevant and easy
