Course Curriculum Overview

4

It a professional course. It provides a very deep knowledge in economics and finance gives the knowledge about business ideas, apart from theory, it also gives good practical knowledge to students. As in the name itself(business economics).

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college provides internships to the students by organizing different events of the company in the college itself and making students aware of it. The students too make the full of it and get knowledge by attending the same.

Placement Experience

3

Placements and job opportunities are really good as it is located off campus. Still, jobs and placements opportunities are good for the students, especially for the b.com students. Eco. Hons students also enjoy the placement opportunities

College Events

4

There are many different events celebrated in college. Different society events are celebrated. To keep the students involved in the college. Apart from the social events..other events like the independece Day celebration, founders day, republic day celebrating, etc are also celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible as compared to the private colleges in Delhi, apart from any other course, BBE and BMS are a bit expensive if compared to others. The fee for BBE is 39-40k annually. Still it provides the best faculty for the same so it is feasible

Fees and Financial Aid

There is one scholarship offered by the college and it is known as a student of the year. This scholarship is given to students who perform the best in every aspect of the college. Including the extracurricular activities.

Campus Life

3.5

Extracurricular activities are really good. It includes cricket, basketball, football, bhangra, Western dance n many others, College provides one of the best extracurricular activities in the whole DU.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel in our college is just built. And I can say it is one of the best hostels in DU. Since it's a girls hostel, therefore, the security is really good. The hostel has a different canteen in the hostel itself. The students can call the cook and make whatever they want.

Alumni/Alumna

If it comes to help seniors are very helpful. They helped in providing all the notes and readings for all the subjects. Told us how to study the difficult subject. Helped in any way if possible. Helped in making friends too.

Exam Structure

It is the same as any other college in DU. The session starts with the normal lectures after 1 month groups are divided for the presentation for a specific subject. After that in the gap of 1 month after mid-sem break internals exams are held. And after that externals.

Admission

To get admission in this college there are two ways 1. Merit list 2. Entrance- for BBE and BMS, BBFIA Entrance exams are known as du-jat. The syllabus for the same include- maths, English, LR, GK. Once the exam result is out, students get the subjects according to their ranks.

Faculty

4

The college faculty is really good and helpful. Because it happens that in some colleges the faculty is not helpful to students ina any way. Which brings a student's moral down. Which is not good for them l. It is really very important for the faculty to be good.

Placement Experience:

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

Placement Experience:

For placements, there's not much on campus placement programs. Our placement cells are active though. Time to time they keep us posted about the upcoming internship or job opportunities and even invite various organisations for placements. You can even look for off campus placement programs and teachers are very helpful in this. They even offer letter of recommendation for the internship opportunities upon request.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.

Area that should be improved that is treat every student similarly without any discrimination. Faculty don't even tdke action on sol, IGNOU and NCWEB students. So I think it should be improved firstly.

The course curriculum is relevant to the current aspects of real world. It is also very focused on the practical component of the subject and helps us know how to apply our theoretical concepts in real life. Aspects that influenced me were: the practicality, the relatibiltiy of concepts and the testing approaches as well.

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option
