- Infrastructure is pretty good. It's not that huge, but has a serene atmosphere. We also have a gurudwara on campus.
- Class strength being less, faculty members can focus on growth of every individual. You have to attend classes though.
- There are more than 40 societies in the college where you can explore your interests and gain relevant skills.
Dislikes
- The block for BBE and BMS courses is a separated building which kinds of isolates us from the rest of the college, which is a more fun place to be.
Course Curriculum Overview
BBE offers a really broad spectrum of learning experience. Let me tell you, you'll learn a lot!! So much that you'd start to wonder what was my actual course all about. Economics, and its application in business being the core curriculum of this course, you also get subjects ranging from statistics and mathematics to finance and marketing. The curriculum is divided into 6/8 semesters of 4 months each.
Internships Opportunities
The training and placement cell conducts Internship Drive every year. The whole process is mainly carried out online, with internships being sent on whatsapp groups for students. Numerous companies offering internships in fields like Business Development, Sales, Marketing, HR, etc. with decent stipend ranging from 5000-10000, depending on the job role and duration of internships are brought forward to the students.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The training and placement cell assists the same. A wide range of companies, including Deloitte, KPMG, Bain & Company visited the campus offering placements in Business Development, Auditing, Research and Analysis and other fields. The highest package was 12.5 LPA, while the average package was 5 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost for this course is around 45000 per year, which makes approx.1,35,000 for the entire course. Sometimes, scholarships and financial aid schemes are circulated in college notice boards. There is a placement coordinating cell in the college, which assists students in job placements and internships.
Campus Life
There are more than 40 clubs and societies in the college, from departmental and academic societies, to cultural societies, and even social work clubs. Every society organises its individual events during different times of the year, or along with the main college fest.
Admission
You can apply for BBE, if you had mathematics in Class 12th. In CUET, mathematics, English and general test score are counted for enrollment in this course. SGGSCC is one of the best colleges for pursuing BBE, so you have to get a decent rank to get in, if you are a general student. However, 50 percent seats are reserved for Sikh students.
Faculty
There is a pretty good number of faculty members, with exceptional qualifications. The teachers are really helpful and approachable, given you attend decent amount of classes. They are always ready to solve your doubts, and provide essential reading materials, guiding you throughout the course.
